Eve Wersocki Morris grew up in North London and has been making up stories her whole life. As a child she wrote hundreds of poems and short stories, doodled characters and made up plays for her friends. Despite being diagnosed with dyslexia and branded ‘the worst speller in the class’ she wrote her first full novel aged thirteen and at fifteen she started submitted her writing to publishers – their polite refusals did not stop her ambition to become an author. She has a First Class BA in English and Vice-Chancellor Award for Contribution to the Arts from the University of Nottingham where she was Arts Editor of the student magazine and wrote, directed and performed in plays in the student theatre. She is currently Publicity Manager at Simon & Schuster Children’s Books and many of her PR campaigns have been shortlisted for awards. She is a member of the Publishers Publicity Circle committee and volunteers with Coram Beanstalk Literacy Charity as a reading helper for children. She has reviewed books for Stylist, Times Literary Supplement and The Bookseller. She is half Polish and celebrates her Polish heritage on Christmas Eve with barszcz soup, pierogi, pickled sledzie (herring) and hazelnut torte! She lives in London and spends her free time re-watching Gilmore Girls with her younger sister. THE BIRD SINGERS is her debut children's book (out 3rd February 2021, Hodder Children's Books).
