When I was a little girl sitting on Pappy's lap while he read me stories, he would start out with what sounded like "onca pona time" so when I got older that gave me ideas for my stories. I started writing stories, songs, limericks, children's stories, poems, and a book of my life in 1949. My children and friends are my inspiration. All of my stories are based on or written for them; in particular Linda, Bit, Laura and Rich. Each story has a story of it's own; but that, of course, is another story. My books are especially meant for every caring parent that values wholesome reading, fun entertainment and colorful illustrations. When you start reading from infancy, you are really training them to read, instead of play violent video games. When you train them to read, it becomes a part of their lives, which is SO appropriate for the times we are living in. Whatever your name is, you know who I'm talking to...! There are eight books in the Hilenie and Friends series. They are: Book 1: Hilenie's First Tima Pona Onca Book 2: Adventures in the Forest Book 3: Hilenie's Forest Friends Book 4: Antics in the Forest Book 5: Hilenie's Friends' Forest Fun Book 6: Hilenie's New Ever After Happilys Book 7: Hilenie's New Adventures Book 8: Hilenie's Further Adventures (Coming in 2023)
