Robert Fulton didn't grow up with a fancy house, car, or television. His singe mother had to work tirelessly to cover the essentials, but there was one luxury she refused to deny her children: The gift of books. An ardent writer and storyteller herself, Mrs. Fulton would eventually pass at the age of 101 with her unpublished works tucked neatly away in her bedside drawer. This early introduction to fantasy and adventure led Robert to pursue a fifty-year career as an aviator, navigating the treacherous skirmishes of Vietnam and later, among other places, the freezing winds of the Arctic. The diverse locations and characters he encountered, as well as his struggles with PTSD, would go on to form much of the inspiration for his award-winning writing. A passionate speaker and recipient of Toastmaster International's highest award, Robert has shared his stories on brightly lit stages, in school classrooms, and in the course of numerous writing events. To date, Robert has published an aviation memoir, a novel about a group of orphaned children during the last year of the war in Vietnam, and a screenplay optioned by a major film studio. The proud parents of five grown kids, Robert and his wife Debra live in Estero, Florida. When Robert isn't writing or sharing his stories with his family and others, he is cruising his sailboat throughout the region's ten thousand islands in an ongoing quest for discovery.
