Fragments is the story of Father Curtis, Priest of the Order of the Eternal, who seeks solace in the serenity of his secluded parish, sheltered from the oppressive regime’s grasp. But when he is unjustly branded a heretic, he is forced to embark on a harrowing journey for survival. In the process, he discovers that the very foundation of his beliefs has been built upon falsehoods. Amidst the chaos of his escape, he is confronted with the stark realization that the world he once trusted is a labyrinth of deception, orchestrated by the tyrannical forces of the Order.

In the ancient city of Ephesus, around 100 A.D., the Apostle John reveals a secret prophecy, sometimes referred to as “The Second Revelation of John.” This prophecy foretells the coming of a great evil from beyond Earth’s solar system and speaks of a chosen child who would stand against this evil on behalf of all mankind. The prophecy also mentions a soulless army that will attempt to prevent the birth of the Chosen One and, if that fails, will seek to stop her from standing at “The Battle Between Light and Dark.”

In this world, most inhabitants follow a straight path in time from birth to death, but there are outliers who have periodic or other deviant “world lines”, passing through their space-time point multiple times. The title derives from the different paths of existence by a diverse set of characters. One of the outliers for example, is a Scottish fisherman who is trying to weave his way in the normal world, bringing some sense to the madness created by both human and natural events surrounding him (abduction of a female pilot, military response, and breaches in the time-space continuum).

The war that began before we entered mortality is escalating into the final battle for freedom, liberty, and the hearts and souls of all men. Into this world filled with turmoil, our Father will send some of his most valiant servants. A child is born who may have the power to change the course of history. But will Elizabeth remember the covenants she made in the premortal world?
