Many of the activities we take for granted are in fact contrary to a healthy lifestyle. In this groundbreaking audiobook, long-held beliefs are exploded by new science: drinking eight glasses a day is too much, breakfast isn't the most important meal of the day, smartphones are not making us all depressed. Bringing to bear the latest research in psychology, nutrition, biology and physics, Dr Stuart Farrimond unearths the facts behind the fads and provides take-away advice on every area of our lives.

Story
Intelligence is usually seen as the ability to think and learn, but in a rapidly changing world, there's another set of cognitive skills that might matter more: the ability to rethink and unlearn. In recent months, the pandemic has forced us all to reevaluate our assumptions about health and safety and multiple acts of police brutality have challenged most of us to reconsider our responsibility for fighting racism. Yet in our daily lives, too many of us still favor the comfort of conviction over the discomfort of doubt.

Was really relaxed and almost asleep when...
THIS IS AUDIBLE played at the end, three times as loud as the rest of the book. Incredible let-down, and it took me another hour to get relaxed again. These two seconds at the end make the rest of the book essentially worthless.

The sample is as good as it gets
I bought this based on the 4 or 5 minute sample..... Believing it would be the same but longer. I'm sorry Emma but after the first 5 minutes it becomes so weak, lots of blank spaces. Then after ten minutes you must be assuming that I'm asleep and I'm not aware that nothing is going on. I'm so disappointed, the sample promised amazing things, but I'm afraid that was the best of it.
