Summary
Sophia is prophesied to save her tribe, but times have never been darker, and the Elders have never been more desperate. To prevent her people from going extinct, she'll have to use her power to summon her ancestors, train magical creatures, and make a sacrifice that'll change her world forever.
Liam has battled for the right to be with Sophia, and their forbidden romance is about to launch the Elementai into a war. To fight back against injustice, he must become the leader he's always been destined to be, and bring the tribe into a new era.
The fate of the Hawkei will be determined in the greatest battle of their time. In the end, Sophia and Liam will choose between saving their tribe...and saving their family.

Overly Long
The actual story is okay, but the authors have really milked it. This is a 25-hour story but it just prattles on for no real reason, it seems like they were told to fill 22 hours per book, they got 12 hours and then made up the shortfall with needless dark and gloomy drivel.
The MCs are a bit whiny and go round and round with the same issues, some of the other characters have a personality transplant on the journey too, it is like the authors don't understand character progression at all.
That all said, the overall story is alright, nothing groundbreaking, but is alright.
The voice acting is god-awful, seriously bad, but I don't really think it is entirely the artist's fault.
When you have male and female MCs and they alternate chapters you can't just have a woman doing one chapter and then a guy doing the next, it doesn't work. Yes, by all means, have them alternate the narrator of each chapter but you must have only the male doing the male speech and the female doing the female, if not, you end up with this mess, where the same characters have completely different voices and it gets way too confusing.
So do I recommend this book, yes, but not in this format, go get it on Kindle, you won't have the terrible narration to deal with and you can skim a lot of the needless bits.
