  • On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) for another edition of Winans Wednesday. The two broke down the Panthers' 6-3 loss where they controlled play for a good majority of the first period, but Winnipeg's speed made the Panthers pay in the final 5 minutes of the first to get them into a two-goal deficit, one of them with their inability to break out of their zone. The Cats inability to break out continued on their end on the penalty kill when the Jets scored seconds after the power play ended, as the puck was in the Cats zone for almost the entirety of the man advantage. Florida killed a 5-on-3 early in the second period, and the fourth line gave them a bit of energy going into the third period down two. Panthers special team helped cut the deficit to one on more than one occasion with one of their power plays goals with the extra attacker on. Although they drew a penalty and had an opportunity to tie the game on the power play, the Jets got two empty netters to seal the game and ended any hope of the Panthers getting a single point after being down by as much as three on the road. The guys give their three duds of the game, the moment where they knew the game was lost, and some numbers that were revealed by the Florida Panthers on viewership on Scripps Sports and an update on the salary cap projection for the 2025 offseason.
