About this listen
Christmas is supposed to be the season of miracles. But seeing my ‘90s high school boyfriend change into a bear isn’t the miracle I’d hoped for.
I’ve spent my life trying to create the perfect family.
Now look at me, divorced at 44 with an empty nest,
Spending my first Christmas alone.
I just inherited my aunt’s winery up in Carlton,
So at least I’ll have that to keep me busy.
But when my high school first love shows up,
Nothing can distract me from the feelings rushing back–
Until reality smacks me in the face.
Corey took off 26 years ago and broke my heart,
Leaving me no choice but to move on.
But now here he is with his same boyish charm,
Asking for a second chance.
As we go on some festive dates together,
I finally start to let my guard down with him–
Until I find out he’s been hiding a dark secret.
He’s not only capable of morphing into a bear,
He was under a feral curse for all those years.
And when a wolf from his past comes looking for revenge,
So much for a holly, jolly Christmas–
I’m now caught in the crossfire between two vicious beasts.
Steamy shifter love scenes and an HEA inside! No cheating or cliffhanger in this standalone romance. Listeners 18+.

Second Chance Romance!
This is book 11 in the Shifter Nation: Fated Over Forty Series, a steamy bear shifter romance. I like this series, and this is another great addition to the series. Tara and Corey's story is fast-paced, and entertaining. I liked the little suspense, and the mystery in the story. This is a great second chance romance. D.C. Cole did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bear's Midlife Christmas
Corey is trying to rebuild his life after the curse is lifted. In the run up to Christmas he sees Tara, his childhood sweetheart. As they reforge their friendship and get closer Corey has to decide how to tell Tara about who he is and why he disappeared. But Corey's past comes back to haunt him and puts Tara's life in danger. A great end to this series and an introduction to the next series. Well written with characters that you can believe in. A great way to spend an evening.

AUNT FIONA HAD A LOT OF SECRETS
Corey and Tara. Shes divorced at forty four AND she sees her high school boyfriend turn into a bear. Oh yeah hes a bear shifter. Shes inherited her aunts winery in Carlton. After her ex left her years ago breaking her heart forcing her to move on without him hes back in her winery wanting a second chance. He not only has the ability to shift but he was cursed all those years ago and not the wolf is back and she caught between two vicious beasts.
Corey was introduced in his brother London's story, when they removed his curse. Tara was Tricia's sister in Tricias story. They each inherited a business from their Aunt Fiona. Aunt Fiona had a lot of secrets too. Really loved their story was very intriguing, insitful and entertaining.
