Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

One month. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn't see coming....

Nora is a cut-throat literary agent at the top of her game. Her whole life is books.

Charlie is an editor with a gift for creating best sellers. And he's Nora's work nemesis.

Nora has been through enough break-ups to know she's the woman men date before they find their happy-ever-after. That's why Nora's sister has persuaded her to swap her desk in the city for a month's holiday in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina. It's a small town straight out of a romance novel, but instead of meeting sexy lumberjacks, handsome doctors or cute bartenders, Nora keeps bumping into...Charlie.

She's no heroine. He's no hero. So can they take a page out of an entirely different book?

Set over one sizzling August, Book Lovers is the new chemistry-filled 'rivals to lovers' rom-com from New York Times number one best seller Emily Henry.

Not a fan!

Really not a fan of these books. They’re so super chiche and predictable! May be good for a teen ?!

Went downhill halfway through

I enjoyed the first part of the book, then it became so full of clichés and cringey love talk I almost stopped listening.

Good summer listen

Good summer listen. Loved the narrator, she added some really wonderful nuance to the characters voices which other audio books lack.

A perfect Summer read

Really enjoyed this book and loved Nora, Libby and Charlie. The narration was excellent and really added to it. Made me laugh and cry. Definitely recommend.

Repetitive

I found the first couple of chapters interesting, but then became bored. Could not take to the characters or romantic scenes - found them to be cringy.

Average

I went with this book based on the reviews saying it was predictably ‘enemies become lovers’ but that the story was really good and it was done in a different way. Well, not really! Super predictable with some funny moment but overall quite cringey. The sexy scenes were so awful to listen to and I had to skip past how many times they say each other’s names and what they want to do to each other. Likewise the over dramatic moments of Nora and her sister got a bit ridiculous. Wouldn’t waste a credit on this if you’re looking for something ‘different’.

Great characters and LOL moments

I loved this. More than a general rom com it was sassy with lots of laugh out loud moments. The characters were fab.
