Summary

One month. Two rivals. A plot twist they didn't see coming....
Nora is a cut-throat literary agent at the top of her game. Her whole life is books.
Charlie is an editor with a gift for creating best sellers. And he's Nora's work nemesis.
Nora has been through enough break-ups to know she's the woman men date before they find their happy-ever-after. That's why Nora's sister has persuaded her to swap her desk in the city for a month's holiday in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina. It's a small town straight out of a romance novel, but instead of meeting sexy lumberjacks, handsome doctors or cute bartenders, Nora keeps bumping into...Charlie.
She's no heroine. He's no hero. So can they take a page out of an entirely different book?
Set over one sizzling August, Book Lovers is the new chemistry-filled 'rivals to lovers' rom-com from New York Times number one best seller Emily Henry.

The best kind of suprise
After reading and listning to many (maaaany) romance books I had started to feel a bit jaded with it. It felt like characters were pushed aside for tropes. I always knew what was going to happen, and it always happend to and shallow. I picked up this book not thinking it was anything special. Boy was I wrong. This book both plays into all the tropes I love while at the same time turns them on their head. The way this is more than a story about falling in love, it's about the love for family, for books, for a city. About grief and fear. And about how two people actualy fall in love by talking and getting to know each other, good and bad. And the banter, it's just so good, like top teir Gilmore girls level banter. I found myself laughing out loud at parts. Is it a masterpiece? no, but it gave my heart the best kind of butterflies and at the same time the best kind of sadness.

Just perfect!
I loved it! My ears hurt from the earphones, because I could not put it down. I was laughing out loud in some places and even brushed a few tears in the end. The book and the performance was all I wanted, but didn't even know it. At first I thought main male voice was made unnatural but it turned out to be just perfect.
I definitely recommend!
