Summary
I choose Killian O’Malley out of desperation.

fantastic
I've been waiting to listen to killians story and it didn't disappoint, truly this is the best series of books I have read and now the cliffhanger end, omg I have to wait for Declans story to come to audio, I can't recommend these books enough

Great Mafia series
Really enjoyed the book as a whole. here we have Killians story, and I was really forward to it. As usual Maggie Cole doesn't disappoint, with this arranged marriage, age gap romance. The mix between romance and the over arching plot, is really well balanced, and we also get lots of great steamy scenes.
I will warn you that you might want to throw your device sometimes with Killians behaviour! But thankfully we have a really great strong and ballsy female lead character with Adriana. She won't put up with any of his nonsense, and has a couple of interesting ways of punishment... Loved that! No spoilers, but you will absolutely love this couple and the progression of their relationship.
This series is great, and always keeps me on the edge of my seat. I love that we get to see the other characters from previous books and see how they are getting on. I can't belive we only have 2 more books left, but also really looking forward to the finale and everything being tied together. I'm also really looking forward to the new series Maggie has teased us with, it will be following the Mafia family in New York. I'm hoping it will be Adriana's brothers, because they seem like really interesting characters.
I really enjoyed the narrator's bringing this book to life, they make the sexy scenes nice and steamy, and also bring the side characters to life nicely too. All in all, a great book and performed well, totally recommended.

Age Gap - Arranged Marriage - Dark Mafia Romance
Brutal Defender by Maggie Cole is an enemies to lovers dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kelsey Navarro and Lance Greenfield. This is the eighth book in the Mafia Wars series. The book can be read as a standalone but the stories are interconnected.
I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Killian and Arianna. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Deviant Hacker to be released on December 1, 2021 so I can get Declan's story.
Kelsey and Lance did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book you if you love arranged marriages, age gap romances, dark romances, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

Fantastic storyline
This series is fantastic. I really enjoyed how the characters lives all intermingle. I’m fascinated with how their lives coexist. A fantastic performance from both Kelsey and Lance. Really looking forward to the next book.

Wow! I Loved It! Outstanding Narration!
This is the eighth book in the amazing Mafia Wars Series, a Dark Mafia Romance. Wow! I loved it! Killian and Arianna's story is suspenseful, action packed, steamy, and captivating, filled with twists and turns. Killian is ruthless, alpha, bossy, enigmatic, possessive, and protective. Arianna is beautiful, feisty, and smart. They share a sizzling hot chemistry! This is an arranged-marriage age-gap dark mafia romance. I like how Killian takes his vows with such great importance! The supporting characters are amazing. The storyline is intricate, intense, and enthralling. Kelsey Navarro and Lance Greenfield did an outstanding job with the narration. I love their voices together. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it. If you like Dark Mafia Romance, this one is definitely for you. Looking forward to listening to Deviant Hacked, the next book in the Series!

Another brilliant, not to be missed, book.
Maggie Cole has yet again exceeded my expectations with this eighth book in the fantastic Mafia Wars series, this time brilliantly narrated by Lance Greenfield and Kelsey Navarro.
Killian O'Malley has to repay a debt for his family by marrying a mafia daughter, Arianna. I wasn't too keen on Killian's character in the previous book with him always posting pictures of himself on social media and not maintaining relationships. With his arrogant alpha bossy attitude, he gave the impression he would be untamable. As soon as he saw Arianna, another hot woman who was also always on social media, he sent her sexy messages and the battle between Killian and Arianna to have the upper hand in their relationship began. Before they were even married, Killian took the marriage vowels to the extreme, setting down 'rules' which Arianna refused to follow resulting in some very funny scenes, one in particular using a wedding gift in the bedroom, you have to read this book just for that scene! Maggie managed to successfully bring a lot of humour to this Mafia book, particularly with Killian in the confession box (I think this was when, like all the other main characters in the previous books, I felt I understood and then fell for Killian). There was a lot about developing the rules of their relationship in this book as they slowly went from instant physical attraction to love, however the more brutal side of the Mafia life remained strong throughout. It was good to have appearances from some previous main characters at the start of this book as well as introducing us to Arianna's brothers, which I suspect is preparing us for Maggie's next Mafia series which I believe is set in New York.
I thoroughly recommend this book and it deserves its five star rating, I actually listened to this twice before writing this review. All of the books in this series can be read as standalone but, to be honest, you would be mad to miss out on any of the previous books, especially the Ivanov family. I cannot wait until the 1st of the month for the next book in the series (that's another thing I love about Maggie's books, you don't have to wait too long for the next one). Thanks again Maggie for a fantastic series.

Love this series!
Stellar! That is what this book is. I absolutely loved Killian and Arianna. Killian has a decision to make. Marry Arianna as Tully is telling him to do or there will be dire consequences. It’s the least he can do too pay his debt to Tully. Arianna is now told she has a choice as well. Marry Killian or the mafia king in Italy. There is no contest. Except she doesn’t want either. This spunky, independent minded woman is the perfect fit for Killian, though neither knows it yet. Constantly at each other’s throats with incredible passion and chemistry, they are slowly finding their rhythm. But with mafia life comes danger, and it has one O’Malley in mind. Arianna may love her new family, but she still has that wild streak and doesn’t always take the necessary precautions. Will Killian get to her time? Maggie Cole does it again, keeping the suspense high and the story spicy! Killian shows no remorse for his decisions. I think my favorite scene is his confession and penance. Arianna appears a little bratty, but her journey to find her dream is beautiful. And seeing all our favorites with their families and even the visit to the garage has become all part of the fun of listening to these books. I love the continuity between the books, the love between the characters and the peek at the next installment.
Narration made this book even better. Kelsey Navarro and Lance Greenfield bring it! I am a huge fan of both, and their interpretation and use of nuances create the perfect characters. Loved their telling of this story and their fabulous collaboration.

Must read & Listen. This book made my day 😆😍
Round of applause to Kelsey Navarro and Lance Greenfield because they made me smile even more. Especially Lance with Killian sweating in the church before his confession 😂 he just acted out brillaint and I can see him pulling at the collar & everything. Kesley did a brilliant job on Arianna innocence on her family's mafia business and her lion heart standing up to Killian and he crazy ex...no spoilers. We see them settle into marriage life and I love that they both care about the same thing. Family is everything and its very very important to them. We meet Sean kids and how lance acted the scene out broke my heart more. Killian fought to see Sean's kids and he finally sees them and now he can see them once a month. Still a mystery why she still keeping the kids away from the O'Malleys... Sean Junior I hope he gets a story because Killian said he is like Sean and I am gutted that we never will meet him so it be nice to see him through Sean Junior.
Another great listen and book. am wishing more and more that we could meet Sean but I know that is impossible but I can still dream 😆
Killian & Arianna love story is full of wit and steamy steamy scenes 🔥

Arianna brothers are so loving twoards her and they bound with their brother in-law over boxing. Boxing is a big part of the O'Malley Clan. She never had real girlfriend because they were either jealous of her or trying to use her to get to a certain hot brother... THEN she meets the wives of the O'Malley and Ivanov who welcome her with open arms to yoga & brunch. I wish they were my girlfriends because they are fighters with big hearts. I love Ariann journey of begin alone to feeling part of a family with the girls. They have so much fun together and I can feel Arianna heart grow with love for them and feeling less unwanted...
Gemma, Nora, Selena , Aspen amd Kora are friendship goals
Killian accept the challenge of Arianna after a social media post...no spoilers
He pushs her buttons and she pushs his which leads to them have some very hot hot hit times. He is super protective over and when he rescue her from...no spoilers...she see he is the right man for her.
THEN there was moment when I thought omg he is...no spoilers but it shows he doesn't believe in second chances & he needs to listen to her. Thank you Boris & Nora because of you two, you got through to him and that's why you are my fav couple
That's it no more spoilers but I will say this, there is still action and suspense with the O'Malley. And I was wondering who was going to be the villian of this story...no spoilers of who or what they want...

I love it when the Ivanov family make appearances in this series too. They are fantastic and of course they are married into the O'Malley family through Nora & Boris. They are my fav couple 😍
I love the O'Malley series so much!! Sorry Ivanov family, I still love you all but the O'Malley have something extra. I don't know what it is but the O'Malley Clan just seem to be more crazy & colourful characters. It's had to explain BUT if you are like you read of these book because they are addictive you can see both family are written with a different formula that suits the O'Malley characters & world

A great read
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved hearing it on audio. This is an enemies to lovers mafia romance.I love this series and wasn't disappointed in this book, brought to life by good narration.
The story interlinks with the other books and as with the others it draws you in wanting more.
Loved the interaction between Killiian and Adriana as they fight their growing attraction and can't wait for the next book.xx
