Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The very first autobiography from Brendan O'Carroll.
Before he became the nation's favourite Mammy, Brendan O'Carroll was known, simply as Brendan. He's the youngest of eleven children from a poor family in Dublin, he's a boy whose father died when he was just nine years old; he's someone whose hope and determination meant he never gave up. Throughout the tough moments, Brendan always had humour and a good story to tell alongside the ever-guiding inspiration of his own Mammy, a formidable figure who became Ireland's first female Labour MP, all whilst raising eleven children by herself.
Just like the show so brilliantly expresses, Brendan's first autobiography, the real story behind the man who became Mrs Brown, combines uplifting heart, warmth and hilarity.

Man behind the wig
Loved the narration and learning about the man behind Mrs Brown.
What comes through more than anything is the love Brendan feels for his family and friends. His success was hard won. Sheer hard work and a determination to stay true to what he believed.
He is an extremely gifted writer and performer who has known many ups and downs but always keeps his feet firmly on the ground but his heart in the joy of making people laugh.
Can’t wait to hear the next book.

Heart felt and funny
I’m not a fan of Mrs Brown’s Boys but I am now a fan of Brendan O’Carroll. What an amazing man that has worked so hard to get where he is . He loves his wife and children so much it comes across in every chapter. I have laughed out loud and cried through out this book, brilliant.

I couldn't stop listening!
I loved this! I have never got through an audio book so quick, I couldn't stop listening. Brendan's accent is lovely to listen to and he had a great way of telling a story. I'd recommend this book even if you're not a Mrs Brown's Boys fan. A great listen. I'm really glad I gave it a try. Now off to download The Mammy.

I loved the early Mrs Brown Series and this book incorporates the nature and personal attributes of the whole cast while building up a fabulous description of Brendan and his many qualities.
