About this listen
Dr. William Glasser offers a new psychology that, if practiced, could reverse our widespread inability to get along with one another, an inability that is the source of almost all unhappiness.
For progress in human relationships, he explains that we must give up the punishing, relationship-destroying external control psychology. For example, if you are in an unhappy relationship right now, he proposes that one or both of you could be using external control psychology on the other. He goes further. And suggests that misery is always related to a current unsatisfying relationship. Contrary to what you may believe, your troubles are always now, never in the past. No one can change what happened yesterday.

The Most Important Book You Will Ever Read
I grew up with parents with ideas opposite to Choice Theory. It messed up my childhood and youth. Through many years with a medical health professional who taught me Choice Theory and used Reality Therapy my life has changed dramatically. I didn't even know there was anyone like him and I didn't even know about Choice Theory until a few weeks ago where he told me about this book. Now I know the foundations of his work and these ideas will accompany me for the rest of my life and I am able to give my future kids the childhood I never had.

Interesting but not science-based
it's an interesting theory with good examples, presented in an engaging way. BUT he presents no scientific grounds whatsoever. Meanwhile he presents it as though it is a fact and not a theory.

Amazing
Choice theory will help you get rid of arrogance, pride and anger over the dumbest of things that are so petty in your life and relationships, it'll help you feel better and apply some of these things as a counsellor as well which is why im here.

Wonderful
Tremendously interesting and enlightening. Much about USA though which I couldn't relate to as I'm Irish.
I couldn't recommend this book highly enough in terms of enlightenment.

Interesting and alluring but full of author hubris
Interesting and alluring but full of author hubris. Worth a listen but there's certainly a whiff of fairytale about some ideas like quality communities.

ChoiceTheory good but mainly case study.
Good attempt to explain what it is but I'd prefer if it the philosophy was explained more in the application. Google is better.

A complete waste of time
This was truly a struggle to finish. The general subject is interesting and you would have expected that the author had an idea about what he was talking about, instead this is a combination of personal experiences that are subjective and lack any critical view.

Weak
Corms over as expert yet I believe the theories are contrived to meet the outcome
