Summary
Twenty-five-year-old Lexi Salenko is an independent and focused young woman who has realized her dream of moving to the open country of Montana and starting up a quaint bookstore. Romance and adventure have always remained within the covers of her cherished novels until one day she receives a mysterious letter from her archaeologist sister. The letter was sent from Israel and was badly damaged, but Lexi understands enough of it that her sister may be in trouble. Lexi follows the cryptic instructions sent to her and finds herself propelled on an odyssey across three continents with a very sexy former Navy SEAL turned mercenary and a mysterious ancient relic with ties to an ancient cult. She learns about a supernatural force that stretches from the ancient ruins at Gobekli Tepe Turkey through the death camps of the Holocaust and into her present life. Along the way she learns that sometimes you have to let yourself fall in love and believe in the power of hope.

So much going on
This book has a very busy storyline. It’s a good direction and has a lot of likeable characters. A fantastic performance from Kat. Really enjoyable.

Unbelievably fantastic twist
This has such a fantastic twist on more common themes. The characters that I have met so far are really interesting and I’m desperate to know what is going to happen next. The narration added such an extra layer to the story which ideally enjoyed. The pacing by the narrator was good as well as the different voices.

Conjuring darkness
This supernatural story is steeped in the Myths and magic from a biblical time involving witches, Demons and sacrifices.
Lexi and Ryan have a great connection creating a sexual chemistry that is both hot and tender. As the adventure to find Lexi's sister Kate unfolds, twists are revealed and dangers are faced, no spoilers but Lexi in the desert ! I didn't expect that and the ending leaves you reaching for the next book.

Enjoyable.
I felt the book was slow to start but it's building up to the story. I really enjoyed the characters Lexi and Ryan and the build up to their relationship. The story contained twist and turns. At one moment I shouted OMG out loud in the middle of the street as I was in shock! Good shock though at the end.
I recommend this book and hopefully there will be a sequel which I will buy.
I really enjoyed listening to Kat Marlowe who narrated the story. I will keep an hear out (and eyes, lol) for others by her.
