Summary

He’s a good man having a bad day with the worst hangover.

All Bunny McGarry wants is a spot of breakfast and a decent cup of tea. So imagine how annoyed he gets when two masked men attempt to rob the New York diner he is in. Unfortunately, dealing with that problem just leads to a whole lot more. One of the diner’s other customers isn’t who she appears to be, and the odds aren’t great that she is going to live to see another breakfast.

So just how much trouble is she in?

Well, you know how they’re always telling us to pay attention to our pensions? Some ex-employees of the US government are really taking that advice to heart by using their mayhem-creating abilities to maximise their investments. When one of their fund managers has a momentary crisis of conscience and confesses all to a woman he hardly knows, they will stop at nothing to deal with the problem. Amy Daniels is in big trouble and the only thing keeping her alive is a man who is supposed to already be dead.

Disaster Inc., is the first book in a new series featuring Bunny McGarry, beloved by those who enjoyed the critically-acclaimed Dublin Trilogy of books. It melds high-octane action with a distinctly Irish acerbic wit.

My favourite series of audiobooks ever

I'm so pleased to have found this series of audiobooks. It's unusual to find exciting books like these that have a lighter side as well. The writing is brilliant & the characters original. Bunny, especially, gets better with each book. The narrator makes the characters so real that it's amazing that one man can do all the different voices. I am so looking forward to the audio version of the latest book.

Another Great Bunny Caper

This is an excellent book filled with memorable characters, great action and superb narration. I loved the New York location and Bunny as fish out of water set up some great scenes. Bunny should have his own TV series but who could play him as well as Morgan C Jones reads him? Looking forward to the next one.

I love Bunny

I really look forward to these books and I need lots more. The narration is perfection (give it a moment whilst you get used to Bunny’s dulcet tones).

Laugh out loud, edge of your seat writing. Thanks Caimh!

Another McDonnell Marvel

I'd just finished two Jonathan Fairfax books, wondered what to plunk for next and Kazam! I found Caimh Mcdonnell.

Great, varied, deep and complex characters, witty and dramatic writing, beautiful work, thank you Caimh. If in doubt try Caimh out

There's a lot of taut drama, charm and wit with this novel. It's as vivid as a virtual reality headset and you won't feel giddy afterwards.

Just Brilliant....

I’ve loved all the books so far but this one is most definitely my favorite. Thought I might need to purchase a box of Tenaladies I was laughing so much. The bit spoofing the lethal weapon 2 South African embassy scene is pure genius.

my new favourite audiobook series keeps delivering

first, Morgan C Jones is so good at narrating these books, this combination of author and narrator is perfection and if they can both keep up these high standards then I will be a fan for a long time to come. the story is everything you would expect from bunny in the states. I enjoyed it a lot!

another excellent instalment

I didnt expect to enjoy the USA story as much as the others, but it didn't disappoint. Brilliantly written, funny throughout and I loved the characters he teamed up with.

The narrator is one of my favourites

Fish out of water romp - highly recommended - Caimh pulls it off again

One of my favourites of Caimh’s books, letting me breathe a sigh of relief that Bunny is just as funny transplanted out of Dublin. Bunny’s waistline is suffering from the US portion sizes and he can’t get a cup of tea for love nor money. Enter a dominatrix in distress, some very shady sinister forces, despicable and inept investment bankers, the elusive Diller, Smithy and Cheryl, to complicate his life. Another tour de force vocal performance from Morgan C Jones, is it just me or is he channelling Peter Dinklage for Smithy’s voice? Very satisfying conclusion.

All you want and more

I was hooked on the Dublin trilogy from the very first moment and the rest is history.
I adore the characters, the wit, the incredibly funny turn of phrase, the great pace.
To cap it all off, Morgan C Jones really brings all Bunny books alive, his narration is simply irresistible, accents and all.
One of the best books I have read/listened to in ages. Please, keep them coming!

Excellent!

I have to admit to being slightly biased at this point as I’ve read all the books so far (and love them) and wait impatiently for the release of each audiobook. The stories are interesting and engaging and the characters are wonderful! This book introduces new characters and the new setting of New York which I was somewhat hesitant about since I have grown to love the characters in the Dublin Trilogy, but I needn’t have worried. Trust in Mr. McDonnell’s considerable talent as a writer and Morgan C. Jones wonderful voice work to draw you in and provide a truly enjoyable experience. Loved it!

Over the Top - Love it

As usual/ completely wild, over the top and thoroughly enjoyable. I’m getting used to the narrator’s Bunny voice but I love his voices for Smithy and Diller.

This is my 2nd ‘listen’ and enjoy it even more.

Not remotely believable but don’t care at all. Fun ride!

Chaotic and oh,so tedious!!

What starts out as chaotic fun soon devolves into chaotic tedium. I wanted to quit, but, alas, I never do.

Great story, terrible accent.

Terrible Irish accent, but the story was great and the rest of the narration was great.

McDonnell keeps getting better.

The author lets his wit shine through even more than in the Dublin trilogy. Great plot, great characters. The grating cork accent of the main character takes some getting used to but it’s part of his identify and his charm.

Bunny strikes again!

I enjoyed this book, narrator was great as usual. Don't know why some reviews hack on Morgan Jones, he's one man and can't get every voice and accent bang on!
