About this listen
Hercule Poirot stood on the cliff-top. For here, many years earlier, there had been a tragic accident – the broken body of a woman was discovered on the rocks at the foot of the cliff.
This was followed by the grisly discovery of two more bodies – a husband and wife – shot dead.
But who had killed whom? Was it a suicide pact? A crime of passion? Or cold-blooded murder?
Poirot delves back into a crime committed 15 years earlier and discovers that, when there is a distinct lack of physical evidence, it’s just as well that ‘old sins leave long shadows’…

Love the narrative
Very good listening session. Highly recommended. From me 5 star all the way.
Let’s start another one. Hopefully narrated by Hugh Fraser.

But people forget Hercule Poirot
Poirot is old and no longer as famous as he once was, much to his chagrin, but his little grey cells are still whirring. It's the 1970s and one of Christie's last books, so this is extremely poignant and moving in places, but there's a lot of comedy too. Forgetful, blustering crime-writer Ariadne Oliver is back to befuddle Poirot and give us an insight into Christie's real opinions of her relentlessly avid fans. I just wish I'd never seen the tv adaptation, as although it ended slightly differently, I knew too much! I can only imagine how good it would be to read this without a clue!

One of The Best
I am a Poirot fan, I watched the TV film of it, but this is so much more. I can't put in words how this made me feel, I done it in two days easily. The mystery was strong, the twists are great, but the heart in the book puts it over. I have to say also it was fantastically read, thanks to all involved! The ending is emotional even!
