Story
Where do comedians come from? Why is it that one person is a funny bloke down the pub while another actually makes a living by standing up in front of an audience telling jokes? And where does all that material come from? Well, young Lee McKillop used to wonder that too. Growing up in his parents’ pub, small and wiry in a world of bigger and chunkier specimens, Lee quickly learned that cracking jokes was a way to get attention.

Story
At the age of 9, Romesh Ranganathan delivered his first ever stand-up set at a Pontin's Holiday Camp talent competition, smashing the only other competitor, a young girl playing the kazoo. The gig went so well that Romesh retired his comic genius for 22 years, hiding behind the guise of a maths teacher, before finally revealing himself again (no, not like that) at the tender age of 31. In 2010, Ranganathan staged his epic comeback gig to an almost silent room, and has since gone on to earn his place as the most in-demand overweight vegan Sri Lankan comedian in Britain.

Story
The familiar call of the common cuckoo, "cuck-oo", has been a harbinger of spring ever since our ancestors walked out of Africa many thousands of years ago. However, for naturalist and scientist Nick Davies, the call is an invitation to solve an enduring puzzle: How does the cuckoo get away with laying its eggs in the nests of other birds and tricking them into raising young cuckoos rather than their own offspring?

Summary
You’ll already know Greg Davies as Mr Gilbert, the psychotic Head of Sixth Form in 'The In-betweeners' (Channel 4) and 'The In-betweeners Movie', and as the most out-of-shape member of 'We Are Klang' (BBC Three).‘Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog’ is Greg’s hotly anticipated debut stand-up show. A critically lauded sell-out smash hit at the Edinburgh festival where it picked up a prestigious nomination for the Foster’s Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier) followed by a 100+ date, twice extended national tour. By spending months packing this show with hilarious content whilst simultaneously paying no attention to his diet or fitness levels Greg has ensured you're about to buy a show that is funny for the right and wrong reasons. Greg Davies has also appeared on 'Live at The Apollo', 'Have I Got News for You', and 'Ask Rhod Gilbert' (BBC One), 'Mock The Week', 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' and Frank Skinner’s 'Opinionated' (BBC Two), and '8 Out of 10 Cats' (Channel 4).

So funny I nearly crashed my car....
If you could sum up Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog in three words, what would they be?
Absolutely Fudging Hillarious
What about Greg Davies’s performance did you like?
The man is the personification of funny
Any additional comments?
Hillarious! The only Audible item that I've bought and listened to repeatedly. I first listened to it whilst in my car commuting. I cannot do this anymore as I laugh so much I lose control of my limbs! This mans hilarity knows no bounds.

Great comic content!!! I listened on my lunch break and laughed so much I was told to leave my office!!! The only slight downside is that some of the jokes are visual at the start.

A very funny guy
I like Greg Davis. He is a very good comedian. If you have seen some of his material before then you know what to expect. As with most staged comedies with some of the gags you need a little imagination, but besides from that this audio book is good.

Continuous hilarity !!!!!
Never have I been so amused by anyone in my life. Greg reminiscing of his school days so matched the experiences of most pupils living through the 70/80s....the nick name section ....flippin excellent and bang on....he dragged up memories that I truely thought I'd forgotten....oh yes even in Norfolk schools a similar phrase of Chinny Reckon!!! did the rounds for many a term. Pure brilliance from start to finish. ....the cheeseballs situation. ..genius. would travel and travel to be entertained in this fashion and wish I'd seen the live show.
