About this listen

It was love at first glance for Mack Quinn, but Sariah Udy has scars that not even this gentle giant can heal.

Sariah Udy has been staring at, and falling in love with, Mack Quinn every game of the Patriots’ winning season, but she knows she could never date someone perfect like him. Sariah has deformities and heartache that she covers with her long hair and lots of humor. When Mack pursues her across the country, can she trust him with her heart, and her sad past?

Mack Quinn knows Sariah Udy is the woman for him. When his efforts to connect with her fail, he has to decide how far he’s willing to go to pursue a woman who won’t allow him into her life.

The Loyal Patriot is a companion novel to The Gentle Patriot and is the story of Hyde Metcalf and Sariah’s sister, Lily Udy.

amazing

I have listened to many books but this was the first one to have me in tears. my own son was burnt when he was very young and I pray that he will one day find a nice girl who will love all of him, he is only 21 at the moment and never had a real relationship, but his time will come. We both have scars and what was said at the end of the story was just perfect!! thank you for such a great story ❤️

A bit too religious for me and basic story

A sweet story but not a lot happens. It does highlight how difficult it can be for people with disfigurements but the writing contains too many reputation of phrases and descriptions.
Also, God is important to many people but the amazing way God answers prayers immediately really stretches credibility.

better than the other two in the series

the insta love and whiney girl were kind of annoying and there were a few too many references to God saving the day but overall it was a better book

misogyny central - could not listen anymore

So a woman who has had a terrible experience in her life is then assumed to have mental health issues…. And of course it’s not her fault but should be avoided. The author may want to have a serious think about the approach in this book. It’s absolutely dreadful and offensive to woman.
