Poorly Tranlated

Book became hard to follow referring to years as decades
Constantly referring to other sports instead of basketball eg saying he won a gold medal at soccer at the Olympics had the potential to be a great book but ultimately leaves one disappointed

No depth just facts

There was no background or sense of story, it was just jumping from random fact to random fact.

Poor presentation

The story and impact of Kobe Bryant as we know it was not done any justice by the incoherent piecing of articles, quotes, excerpts and the barely comprehensible articulation of the reader.

An interesting listen ruined.

The narration is painful and ruins the book. The story it’s self is really interesting.

A disservice to Kobe

Anybody who loves and knows NBA basketball will detest listening to this. It's an absolute disservice to everything Kobe stood for. I felt like the writer doesn't know or follow basketball. The reader stumbles on some words. Convention finals instead of conference finals.I need a refund!!

Great athlete - horrible audio book!

Terribly written and narrated about such an amazing person, I can't believe Audible is offering this in their library. Will ask to return it.

Great Book offering traditional and new wisdom.

I think this book is a must listen for anyone considering having children--just for the information on how the "wiring" of your brain develops. For me, it has helped unravel several mysteries in my life. I highly recommend.

I am glad to listen this audiobook

An exceptionally powerful, well-spoken book. Everyone can learn something about themselves and understand everyone else better by the time they're done with this book. Terrific.

HORRIBLE

This is an insult to Kobe and his fans. Don't be fooled: this is not the book he wrote. this was written and published by people who have no knowledge of what Kobe was about and even less knowledge of sportswriting. The reading could have been done better by a fourth-grader and the writing was atrocious. This is a cashgrab plain and simple. The people behind this should be banned from Amazon at least. I even dare say they should be charged with crimes for desecrating Kobe's memory. What a pile of dog excrement.

Very disappointed.

As a sports fan, I was excited to hear about Kobe Bryant and his Mamba Mentality, however I was very distracted and put off by the narrator who sounded like he was illiterate and struggling to read. This is the first Audible that I've heard where the narrator made mistakes. Will get this book and read it myself.

This book is terrible

This was clearly written by a non English speaking author. It sounds like someone trying to demonstrate their mastery of a second language by using as many large words as they can. unfortunately, they are frequently used improperly. other oddities include referring to games as matches, series a sets, playoffs as tournaments. These are just a few examples of strange ways things are communicated but there are too many to really mention.
The narrator is not any better. this is clearly the first time he has read the material. He starts and stops, reads without using punctuation, and in many cases actually backtracked to correct himself. I'm not trying to be mean but this man showed up to narrate a book and I would assume he got paid to do so. The book is poorly and oddly written so I am sure that did not help but this was painful to listen to. At one point you can hear music in the background that sounds like an ice cream truck passing.
Lastly, if you are even a passing Kobe fan there is nothing in this book you don't already know. This was a complete waste of money. Absolutely horrible!

Dreadful

This book has nothing to offer. Audible should be ashamed to have it in their store. This is a terribly written book with significant errors. Things like referring to Lobes death as O'Neils death and other major flaws. I gor through two chapters and got NOTHING out of it.

How did this get published?

This audio book is so terrible, it boggles the mind that it was released. The narrator consistently uses incorrect words - decades for years, profession for career, because for since. It is like the book was written in a different language, translated by a robot, never quality checked, and then read by someone who has no grasp of the English language. Like how could this person read these words and not think, “hmmm that doesn’t make any sense”? On the other hand I did laugh out loud several times at the consistently bad word choice. So maybe I got something out of it. Seriously. This is horrific. It should be pulled from the virtual shelves.

Absolute joke

This isn’t “mamba mentality”. Garbage content, and even worse narrating. I guess I need to read reviews before wasting credits on this app. Don’t be fooled by this POS knockoff.
