Summary

With Paul Noble’s simple, relaxed approach you will learn in a way that suits you – without having to memorise long lists of words you won’t use, scribbling notes as you listen, or feeling frustrated. Instead, Paul will introduce you to the basics of the German language and guide you through over 3 hours of everyday scenarios that are practical, fun, and applicable. Just listen, interact, and learn wherever you are.

Whatever your experience with languages, whether you’re an absolute beginner or someone with basic knowledge who wants to improve their ability, this is the course to get you speaking German quickly, confidently, and with no chance of failure.

A native-speaking German expert will help you to perfect your pronunciation as you progress through the course. You will learn a huge range of vocabulary in no time at all, and be able to quickly make your new knowledge work for you in a variety of everyday scenarios. A downloadable booklet is also included to use as a reference and revision tool.

Paul Noble left school unable to speak a language – having found that the traditional learning methods left him feeling ‘confused, incapable and unable to really say anything’. Determined that there must be a better way to learn, Paul spent years devising his own unique method of learning languages which cuts out all the grammar, all the memorisation, and all the stress. He began using his method to teach in his Language Institute and, thousands of students later, he prides himself on never having had a student fail.

This download is Part One of a three-part course. Once you’ve finished Part One, download Learn German with Paul Noble for Beginners – Part Two.

This is for beginners only

If you could sum up Learn German with Paul Noble, Part 1 in three words, what would they be?

I think Paul has a very good method, but this book is for beginners. Paul says in his book that it is for all levels, but it is for beginners, really. I studied German many years ago and finished the beginner level. I bought this book for refreshment, but there was nothing new for me. It was good for refreshment, but nothing new for an intermediate level student. So don't expect much from this book, if you are higher than a beginner level.

Brilliant

An invaluable stupid to learning German or, like myself, improving your German. The steps are concise and well thought out. I'd recommend these to anyone in a similar position.

Best intro to German

I really like the Michel Thomas (MT) series. This is a very similar methodology so you build up the language and get some confidence manipulating it spontaneously rather than learning stock phrases. Where it improves on MT is that there are no students in the recording and the content is more geared towards what you may need on holiday. MT is great for learning the skeleton of the language but with just that you are poorly equipped to deal with simple tourist situations. This course also covers articles (a and the) quite comprehensively given its length which is neglected in MT.

excellent

This waa a brilliant re- introduction and encouraging course for me as I try to get my o level german....finished some 35 years ago . ...back into some semblance of usefulness. He is, perhaps, a little patronizing to his listeners but if you can smile through
that, I do feel it is a very helpful tool

Der Erste Programme

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Jawohl sehr bestimmt,! Yes most definitely)! Sie haben diese lesen nicht hart gemacht!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Paul Noble he has structured this course into easily learnt stages with excellent recapitulation. The programme is quite easy to follow and anyone who wishes to learn German should have no difficulty in following the various stages

Have you listened to any of Paul Noble’s other performances? How does this one compare?

No. But this first stage has impressed me considerably and I will most definitely follow the entire course through it's complete set of stages.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The presentation of stage one was structured so as to make the the subject matter easy to assimilate. The method in which the course is presented and the various phrases are demonnstrated by a German lady speaker are most impressive. I am also very impressed with the manual which accompanies the course

Any additional comments?

I am 78 years of age and learnt basic German whilst at school 1948/49, I also spent 18 months of my National Service in Germany (Krefeld and Wilhelmshaven) in 1954/55,However this Course is giving me a better understanding of the German language and it's practical application despite my age. Vielen Danke oder Viele Danken.
