Self-restraint shows up in different structures, for example, persistence, limitation, continuance, thinking before acting, completing what you start doing, and as the capacity to do one's choices and plans, disregarding bother, hardships or obstructions. One of the principle qualities of self-restraint is the capacity to swear off moment and prompt delight and joy, for some more prominent increase or all the more fulfilling outcomes, regardless of whether this requires exertion and time.

You know what the wealthiest of people of all times have in common? Self-discipline. This blend of two seemingly unimportant terms combined by a hyphen has the power to make or break your life, career, and aspirations. It is that one trait that can help turn tables and bridge the gap between you and your goals. It’s easy to get distracted by the things around us, which leads to deviation from the right path. Even comparatively affluent people leading happy lives are bereft of this magical trait, and this is exactly what is keeping them from rising to the apex.

However, it is not simply commonplace experience that tells us about the value of compassion.

A bit too …. ?
I think if the title of this book were a little different it might be more fitting and I may have given it one more star. It has a very narrow description of mental strength giving sports sport superstars as the pinnacle of mental strength. I don’t deny they are put they are the pinnacle of one type of mental strength. People go through experiences like death of a loved one, war, illness and can come out with an unmatched mental strength. I’d say it’s a pretty personal thing. Unfortunately most people don’t recognize a persons strength unless they have an accolade. It’s all a bit macho for my taste.

Waste of money and time
As much as I wanted this book to be amazing, there was no actual learning moment. With any self-help book I expected tips and just get advice to start at some point in the middle of the book, however it was just a bunch of useless words. Perhaps this would’ve been a more enjoyable book to read as the narrator was monotone and didn’t pause in between sentences.

WORST. PERFORMANCE. EVER.
The narrator can barely read, let alone speak clearly or with any dynamism. Made the entire listening experience painful and thus, the meat of the content gets lost and goes largely unappreciated.
