Summary
Good rule of thumb: Don't pick a fight with Bree O'Rylee. She might be over 40 and run with a limp, but that doesn't mean she won't track you down and drive the tip of her boot right up your...
Bree was hoping for a few days off from dealing with monsters, bad guys, or general weirdness that doesn’t fit into a human box of what is supposed to be real.
What she got was a stay in the hospital with an undead roommate and a whole new set of problems that keep rising from the grave.
But her love life is at least on track. Until it’s not. And when it goes sideways, it jumps straight into the drink and sinks to the bottom.
Now, Bree has to put her heart on the back burner as she is offered a major job hunting down the very person causing all the undead to rise. And she has two days to do it before the whole town turns into a scene from the Walking Dead.
Time to pull up your big girl panties and swig a little whiskey. Things are about to get interesting.

A wild ride
The fun continues as Bree and her friends must battle the shadow council and stop a zombie apocalypse. Bree is endlessly entertaining with her wit and sarcasm and a refusal to change who she is for anyone.

Great narration.
The story is, as usual, absorbing and thrilling! I am loving the twists, well mosty, not at all happy with Crash!! But am totally loving the pace of these books, I'm on the edge of my seat listening! Can't wait for the next one.

This series keeps getting better.
Amazing there’s so many twists and turns you don’t expect . I was happy one minute sad the next I’m still in shock how things turned out between Breena and Crash 😳 Now I’m eagerly awaiting what happens in the next book .

Great fun
This series has been consistently gripping so far, and I have binge listened. This is Shannon Mayer well into her stride, read by a narrator who is just right for the part.

one of my favourite series and heroine of all time
I was so excited to get my hands on the latest installment and to find out what could possibly happen to Bree next. I decided to savour this book slowly and I absolutely loved it. The heroine is a divorced, 40 something woman that has aches and pains that even in my 30s I have, so I find the heroine Bree so very relatable. I honestly laugh, shout and roll my eyes throughout the story. What I'm not cool about is the cliff hanger ending! I mean, I NEED to know what Bree will decide!
I highly recommend this series and this author.

Does not disappoint
Have been eagerly awaiting this book and it does not disappoint and, again, has left me chomping at the bit, keener than before to get my hands on the next instalment
The narrator is fabulous as always, and really captures the true essence of the characters
My only niggle is that I wish it were longer

Great read
This book is the best in this series so far!
If you enjoy paranormal womens fiction, with older kick-ass heroines, then this, in my opinion, is the series to read!
It's fast paced, reads well, full of action, full of humor, and full of your favorite urban fantasy characters. From zombies, to witches, to demons, to Fae, to ghosts and more, I honestly can't think you'll be disappointed.
I'm completely in-tune with all the aches pains moans and groans of getting old, but Shannon shows you through her books, that even older gals don't need to think that life's over, when it's really just beginning!
P.S. - Don't skip to Chapter 2, you'll see!!

Another great Midlife hunter book, does Brie get any closer to who she is, not really, but she does start to find out more about the people she thinks she can trust. Unfortuneatly there past was not always on the right side. Read brilliantly again by Lauren Fortgang.
