Summary
The world has ended, and those worthy of it have received the chance for a new life in a new reality.
Zach grew in power and thrived in the post-Framework world. He became a respected leader, a shining example of what it meant to be good. But as the world ended, he had only one thought: to punish the monster that had killed the world long before the Framework ended it. Yet not even with his incredible power was he able to stand against the World Ender. His arrival in the new realty, the Infinite Realm, gives him the chance to grow stronger, to find the monster again - and make it pay.
Ryun survived the chaos after the arrival of the Framework by pushing harder than anyone else. He grew in power until he became the most powerful being that had ever walked the planet; but he is hated by the world, called a monster by all others, the World Ender. As the world ends and he steps into a new one, where people stronger than him have lived for centuries, he finds himself lost and without purpose. The only thing that had mattered to him had been lost to him long ago. He truly was the monster that people considered him to be, and he now finds himself wondering if this new reality has a place for someone like him - but he had never been one for lying down and dying without a fight. One world fell to his power, and another might follow.

Reasonable attempt at western Wuxia, Xianxia
The audiobook is a very decent 30 hour plus listen, and Phil Thorn dose a great job narrating the story.
The overall rating for book suffers from a number of failings. The story, while epic in scope, and world building can only go so far in entertaining the reader. The three main problems with this story are 1) the characters are uninspired, uninteresting and one dimensional. There are two main characters. One is a kind of anti hero, yet he is very shallow. I would describe him as a psycho, murder hobo, lone wolf, vigilante suffering from extreme ASD. The other other is a ultra stiff, law abiding, shallow know it all. So we are stuck with the telling of the story of two characters who are both uninteresting and impossible to care for. 2). As both characters are so shallow, there is very little good dialogue. Most of the story is the authors descriptions and the integral monologues of these two boring heroes. There is no good banter between side kicks or enemies. 3) the story stars with both MCs already at Demi god status, with full skill sheets and very OP. We get to listen to huge read outs of their skills, perks, dao, etc yet we never lived through how they got all these skills.
Because of the above three failings I can not recommend this book. If you want to read epic western wuxia / Xianxia I would recommend the Cradle series by Will Wright or The Defiance before the Fall by JF Brink, or He who Fights Monsters by Shirtaloon or Dungeon Crawler Carl by Dimerin, The Good Guys / Bad Guys or Reborn Apocalypse or the Noob town series etc These have much better hero’s and villains and much better dialogue and progression. If you wan read epic Wuxia / Xianxia, I would recommend I Shall Seal The Heavens by Er Gen or Coilng Dragon by IET.

Epic
Probably best book I've listened to this year. Litrpg cultivation with a complex but well written system. Complicated and flocking bad ass mc. Characters really well written and the story is just so good 🙂

Cultivation craziness and very addictive.
This book is a masterpiece and I will be continuing this series in its entirety. It follows two POVs, both MCs are total badasses (one more than the other though) and their experience after the earth's integration into the framework (system).
Ivan has done a great job with world building and the story has a great plot. Moreover, the narrator has done an amazing job.
At times like this I wish I could go into the future to complete the series in one sitting.

Loved it - what a start
Bought this book as an ‘filler’ whilst waiting for other series and it’s been sitting in the library for a while, I’m sad I waited so long, really enjoyed the story, the approach of being a few year into the system rather than a typical start of a series.

Engrossing Listening
It took me a few chapters to get into, but it turned out to be a great series opener, I went on to tear through the other titles in the series and can't wait for the next installment. Constantly challenges concepts of absolute good or evil, excellent character evolution and world building without becoming laborious. I highly recommend this title.

Good book
Normally I dont like going back and forth between timelines and characters, but they make it work.
Fun Thing to listen for: The moment the mainstream character starts his journey to become the silver surfer. xD

I love how the story is structured and how you can both love and hate the mate character. 5 stars
