About this listen
Murder in the Pachysandra introduces Hattie Moon, an elderly widow, who steps out of her dusty world of cat hair, mixed-up days, and rambling conversations with her dead husband, to solve the murder of her paperboy Jason Meeks.
She, along with her friend Muriel Manning, unravel clues the police have missed. Suddenly, the amateur sleuths find themselves swirling in a deceitful, troubling world of marital infidelity, drugs, the dark web, and a diabolical force that hovers, ready to pounce.

Not your usual dectectve
I love and adore Hattie Moon and I hope she has many more adventures.
I loved how the author decided not to follow the usual detective type of young and healthy or if older, ones who have a history usually of solving crimes or some suitable background. She and her friend Muriel were so real, I know elderly ladies just like them.
The only jarring note is the author does need to do some more research on living in England as there were so mistakes that your ordinary elderly lady or anyone born and brought up and always lived in UK, especially a small place in England would not do or say but the story was so enjoyable I could forgive her that and happily buy any more in the series that come out on audiobook.
The narrators voice I felt fitted the book and characters perfectly and have actually listened to quite a few books she has narrated, so felt like an old friend.
