The Spanish Flu was one of the deadliest viral outbreaks in history. It erupted just as World War I was coming to an end in 1918. The virus wreaked havoc across the entire world and ravaged as many 50 million lives by conservative estimates. This is the gut-wrenching story of tragedy on a colossal scale but also of hope and brotherhood in a time of crisis. While the sad event is etched on the hearts of those who suffered from it, those who lived to tell about it also shared the lessons learned.

Impressive I learned a lot current situation
If you want insight into the Covid19 situation, this book will provide you with a good understanding. The real surprise is in the last chapter, which summarizes the current situation as of 2005. It is quite sobering. But, the surprise is that Red China hid news from world on another outbreak prior to Covid19. The world should take note of this and take appropriate actions.

Know the real cause of the pandemics
It is heartbreaking to be reminded that throughout history people have blamed certain religious beliefs, sexual orientations, political beliefs, etc. for the spread of disease rather than accepting a much more universal and scientific root. It is even more frustrating that this continues today.
