About this listen

Pineapple Port Mysteries by Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author Amy Vansant is a funny, clean, and gore-free small-town, female amateur sleuth series, but with all the pulse-pounding excitement of a detective thriller.

When Declan and his uncle Seamus find a dead woman in the master closet of a house for sale, Seamus hopes that means he'll get a deal...but private detective Charlotte Morgan is more interested in why the body has a note pinned to its chest: "Where are you going to keep your clothes?"

You can stop hunting for a good book

I loved this book. I read it on my kindle a while ago and when I needed something light hearted and was sure to make me laugh, I went straight to this author to choose a book. With so many great books in the series I had trouble choosing but I picked this one and was really glad I did because it was just as funny as I remembered. Even having read the book I was still chuckling along, I did remember some of the situations but it still held a few surprises that I forgot about. Proving it's the type of story you can listen to again and again. I just love the characters, who can't help but bring a smile to my face with all the antics. The mystery is also well worked out and holds your attention, it is told by multiple characters as they each have there own part to play and add too both the investigation and amusement. Off to pay another visit to Pineapple port.
With Frank off on a business course, Darla and Mariska are doing some home improvements, until it turns into a treasure hunt. At the same time Declan fed up with his uncle Shamus living with him takes his uncle to look at houses. Instead of finding the right house in the perfect location, they find a dead body stuffed in the closet. When another body is discovered Charlotte finds herself being hired by the realtor to investigate her husband, who she thinks might be involved. Can Charlotte stop the killer before anybody else gets hurt?
I liked the narrator. She uses some fun voices to differentiate the characters making it fun and easy to follow along.
