Summary

Tall, dark, and muscled like a god, Beau Barnett is great with an axe. Every woman in Rockhead Point wants a taste of the mountain man. Including me.

Except he doesn't even know my name. I'm just the girl behind the counter filling his coffee, while he grunts and grumbles, barely making eye contact. Then a newcomer with a charming smile and a fancy suit shows up in Rockhead Point, and refuses to take no for an answer when he asks me to dinner.

That's when I find out Mr. Mountain Man not only knows my name; he thinks I'm his property.

ok, hold on a second!

no doubt he is a hottie, but to be fair, he is a tad suffocating. his necessity to control every move she does, smells of insecurity. in every love story there has to be some sort of trust. but overall i loved the story and the characters. looking forward to reading the stories of the other brothers as they all sound like a dream. performance was great and cannot fault it.

Erotic Age Gap Romance

Property of the Mountain Man by Gemma Weir is an erotic romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Cecily Foster and Drew Adams. This is the first book in the Montana Mountain Men series and can be read as a standalone.

The book does come with a trigger warning "This book contains an over the top, jealous, unreasonable, possessive asshole. If you consider unapologetic alphaholes unacceptable, or feel their behavior is in someway abusive, then this isn't the book for you."

This is the first book of Gemma's that I have read it won't be my last. The chemistry between Bonnie and Beau is off the charts! Their relationship definitely isn't for everyone but I couldn't help but root for them.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Owned By The Mountain Man to be released on audio so I can get Huck and Cora's story.

Cecily and Drew did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves erotic romances, age gap romances, or if you love Alphaholes!

Hot, sexy and so dirty!

“Must confess that ’m not so into age gap romances but I’m seriously considering changing that if all guys are like Beau. Sweet Lord of all the good things! So far Beau is one of the most possessive men I’ve ever encounter in a book. BUT HOLD ON having it on audio OH.MY.GOD! I though I was gonna die with all the sexiness and dirty of the story. The narrators deserve an ovation for their incredible portray of both Beau and Bennie!”

Hot Hot Mountain Man

I loved the dual narration of Drew Adams and Cecily Foster.. both brought this even more heat to this book... I will look out for books that these two have narration.

Beau and Bonnie story, is hot, steam, frustrating and full of humour.

Bonnie has had a crush on Beau since she was 13 years old.
Beau is older , a owner of a logging company..he is the oldest of seven brothers.. all hot.
All what I would call ... stubborn. jealous, prosive, and know how to please a woman.

When Beau sees Bonnie being asked out, he then realises she is his.... now he has to make her realise this.

Bonnie is no push over and gives as good as gets.
The two just steam .

You have been warned , hot scenes and a man beating his chest.

Sit back and enjoy.

Bonnie and Beau!

Bonnie has had feelings for the brusque, sexy and much older outdoorsy man since she was a teenager but doesn’t believe he would ever feel the same way. So rather than living the life she wants with him she finds herself standing on the sidelines until another person enters the picture and it changes everything.

In his heart Beau has believed that Bonnie is his for a long time, but he always believed he had time until an outside threat forces him to take matters into his own hands. He will show her with his body and his words that they have always belonged together.

The chemistry between them radiates off the pages and although they had a few adjustments along the way there is no denying that the only place they belong is with each other. The narrators were a great choices for the characters as they brought out the gruffness of Beau and the sassiness of Bonnie. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Possessive

Bonnie is a young woman working at a coffee shop trying to figure out her life after her mother died. She has a father she looks after and helps out at their ranch and older brother she does not get along with and a long standing crush on Beau a mountain man who is the oldest of seven brother and owns a logging company. When another man asks Bonnie out on a date Beau stakes his claim on Bonnie and their romance is on. He’s possessive, jealous but he only wants her for the rest of his life. Bonnie has to come to that realization but will Beau still be there in the end. Loved this book.

Great alpha mountain man

This is a great storyline. There’s not much focus on the age gap, the main point of this storyline is his Alpha-ness! It’s written very well and the characters are likeable. A brilliant performance from both Cecily and Drew.

Pretty funny, over the top

This is an age-gap romance between an over-the-top growly mountain man and a sweet, young woman. The age gap is more than 20 years and Beau and Bonnie are neighbors. Bonnie has had a crush on Beau for such a long time and Beau didn't realize how much he wanted Bonnie until she caught the attention of a new guy. I laughed a bit at his caveman attitude but I have to admit that the premise threw me a little. He never asked her for dates (after all, in his mind, they were meant to be) but he would ask her father for preferences about, for instance, what to eat. It just seemed the story was very paternalistic, which is why I thought the story was overtop. If you like gap, daddy-ish, steamy stories, this one would fit the bill. I give the story 3.5 stars.

The narration, on the other hand, was great. I thought both of the voices, Cecily Foster's and Drew Adams, fit what I would imagine from these characters. Overall, i really enjoyed the narration.

So funny and going on my favorites list!

These is so much I loved about this book! The characters are smart, sassy and sexy! The story made me laugh more than once. It is easy to fall into and I hated shutting my audio off at the end of the day. I could not wait to get back the next day.

What I wasn't a fan of..well its an huge age gap which I usually pass on. I was sooo glad I didn't pass on this one because it raised my spirits while listening.

The characters are just awesome! The two main ones are adorable and fiery. I loved her attitude and his “Mine” all day long. She really puts him through some hoops. Then the secondary characters add more laughs. His brothers..just yes! Their sack lunch rule..just adorable. Her father..I was saying OMg more than once with him.

Overall the characters sold this and made the story all that much better. I can not wait for the next one to come to audio.

I did listen to this on audio. The narrators are both new to me and did a super job. Easy listening for my ears.

Turns out this is going on my favorites list.

Property of the Mountain Man

🥵🥵 I was not ready for this book! If you enjoy age gap, Alpha possessive men, this is the book for you. Bonnie always had a crush on Beau. Beau didn't realize he was in love with Bonnie until a new guy comes to town and tries to make a move on his woman. I can't to see which brother will be next. Cecily Foster and Drew Adams both were phenomenal narrating this book.

Story 2.5 ☆ Narration 5☆ Overall 3.5 ☆

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Gemma Weir. There is a bit of a Seven Brides for Seven Brothers type vibe, sorta, that I love. But I had so much trouble connecting with the characters. Beau was over the top possessive and pushy...and not in a sexy way. I wasn't going into this thinking dark romance...so it didn't feel right. He didn't behave like he was forty something either. And why did he take her to a bar where she'll run into his past? Really? Bonnie was blindsided by his actions. Don't blame her at all. But she was wishy-washy in standing strong. She was a brat too. It's only the very end that I enjoyed. That tugged at my heart. I'm willing to try another book by this author to see if it's different. Besides...what about Beau's brothers!?!

Drew Adams and Cecily Foster were good narrators. They kept the book moving and had the "sound" I was expecting. Good performances by both!

Bonnie and Beau

This was a really good book. Initially, Bonnie was very annoying because she was so immature. Beau was an alpha caveman to the extreme. Once he decided Bonnie was his, he was obsessed with her but didn't really show it until some other man asked her on a date. He was also extremely possessive. There was a large age gap since she was only 21 and Beau was 43. I hope more of their story is in the next book. It would be great if books about his brothers come to Audible soon. Cecily Foster did a great job and Drew Adams did a very good job with the narration.

Age Gap Romance

This was my first Gemma Weir's book. This is the first book in the Montana Mountain Men Series. Beau and Bonnie's story is steamy. Beau is alpha, caveman, dominant, jealous, possessive, and protective. He is definitely intense! Bonnie is innocent, and independent. They are opposites attract. This is a sexy age gap romance, filled angst, and jealousy. Beau's brothers are intriguing. Cecily Foster and Drew Adams did a good job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession

Fun Age Gap!

Fun! This was a Mountain Man age gap with the ultimate alpha man to the extreme with a young girl that had a lot to learn in the romance department. Some of it wasn't realistic but I did enjoy it for the sake of the story. It was definitely a hot steamy fun story all and all. The narrator was on point as all. I really enjoyed this one.
