About this listen
Polly Nightingale never meant to fall in love again, especially not with a biker 13 years her junior. But then Jago Solomon enters her life with a guitar strapped to his back, and Polly and her six-year-old son, Archie, know that they've never been happier.
But what happened three years ago when Polly's husband, Sean, went missing? And what will it mean for Polly and Jago if her past ever catches up with them?
Join the Nightingale family once again for the second in The Book Lovers series by the best-selling author of The Rose Girls.

Fantastic Audio
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I was asked to review this audio and it didn't disappoint. This book follows Polly and answers lots of questions asked in the first book as to why her husband left. This book can be read as a standalone but is great if you have read the first book, as you can catch up with old friends. There are lots of book references, which makes you want to read the books, so you can feel like you are part of the book group. The character of Jogo was introduced in the first book and we learn more about him as this story goes on. I would highly recommend this audio
What other book might you compare Rules for a Successful Book Club to, and why?
The Book Lovers Volume 1 is a great introduction to this book to this book and the characters. Victoria's Austin Addicts series is also a must read or listen to.
Which character – as performed by Jan Cramer – was your favourite?
I reviewed Jan's first adaptation of Victoria's Austin Addicts series and it took me a while to warm to her. But now I love Jan's character performances. Each voice is different and she really brings them to live.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes very much so and one that will be listened to again and again. This audio can be listened to on its own or after you have listened to the first volume.
Any additional comments?
I am a huge Victoria Connelly fan and love all her book. Also love the fact that I am able to take her books in audio form and listened to when ever, whether it be while I am doing paper work, house work or in the car. Also great for when you get time alone in a coffee shop and can listen with your headphones one, giggling away.

Lovely story of friendships & new beginnings
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes definitely. Its a wonderful tale of friendships, new beginnings, new loves and lots of mutual appreciation for reading.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved Jago's characters, for someone so relatively young he was level headed and kind and knew just what he wanted to make him happy.
What does Jan Cramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Jan's narrative was perfect. her tone of voice is very calming and she draws you into the story. However, when the storyline gets dramatic you can sense the change of direction and feel the tension within the characters.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This story made me smile, it was heart warming and lovely. However, it did have quite a tense moment and that my heart pound.
Any additional comments?
Audible books are such a lovely way to enjoy a story. Most of my reading is done via kindle or printed books but now and again I like to don my headphones and be swept away with a story. You can listen away while cooking, cleaning, walking or just relaxing in a chair. Victoria Connelly's books are a brilliant choice for audible, I can highly recommend them.
