Summary

A haunting crime novel of two sisters - one has vanished, the other is behind bars....

Snow Delaney was born a generation and a world away from her sister, Agnes.

Until recently, neither even knew of the other's existence. They came together only for the reading of their father's will - when Snow discovered, to her horror, that she was not the sole beneficiary of his large estate.

Now Snow is in prison and Agnes is missing, disappeared in the eerie red dust that blanketed Sydney from dawn on September 23, 2009.

With no other family left, Snow turns to crime journalist Jack Fawcett, protesting her innocence in a series of defiant letters from prison. Has she been unfairly judged? Or will Jack's own research reveal a story even more shocking than the one Snow wants to tell?

Not bad.

I got invested in listening to these books from 3 of the others that the author wrote. it doesn't have as many twists and turns but its not a bad listen.

An intriguing story

This book is wonderful at keeping you invested into finding out what happened the story of two separated sisters with entirely different lives. One sisters warped ideas and the other just wants to get the know this sister she knew nothing about.

I was disappointed with the ending

I usually really enjoy this author but found this offering did not captivate me in the way her other books have. The narration was good but the content less so. I stuck with it but was disappointed with the ending. Maybe there will be a second book to tie up loose ends.

Another gripping tale from Caroline Overington

This is the third book in a row, that I have listened to by Caroline. They are all as equally good as each other. So we'll written that I have to keep reminding myself that this is a work of fiction not a true life account. Highly recommended x

a really good book

I really enjoyed this book. the narrators were very engaging and the story moved on at a relatively fast pace. I like books where we hear the viewpoints of more than one character, as in this story. the ending was a bit disappointing but in keeping with the attitudes of the characters. I'm really impressed with this author and will definitely be interested in reading other books written by her. thank you audible.

Poor narration

I didn’t finish this as the narrator was so irritating. The ‘British’ accent was terrible. Shame because the other book I listened to by the same author was superbly read.

Unexpected

Not the end I was anticipating but really good listen, and makes you think how vulnerable some people in society are.

An interesting read

I liked the narrator’s and the story was really good, I was into the thick of it and it ended! I didn’t realise it was a short story of only 26 chapters
