Summary

“IT’S SHOWTIME.”

The news has made headlines—"Korea and Japan join hands to exterminate the terrifying magic beasts on Jeju Island once and for all!” It’s a monumental moment for the people of the country…and it has absolutely nothing to do with Jinwoo. Instead, the newest S-rank hunter’s number-one priority is bringing his recently recovered mother back home where she belongs at last. When the situation on Jeju Island takes a devastating turn for the worse, though, will the country's top hunters be strong enough to save the day without him?

Great

My only complaint is this finished way too soon. Now to wait very impatiently for book 5.

Great listen.

If you’ve read the manhwa it stops a little past season 1. It adds more explanation to things that happen.
Also the sound effects are fine, that or I’ve gotten used to them. After all it is book 4.

Cringe voice actor, roaring ants and weird noises

Well the story is good and exciting, but as the other books of this series the voice actor butchers every bit of immersion in voice acting every single sound in a horrible way. And it was commented before and I am stunned by his resistance to improve. Less is more and better… come on dude ants can’t screech “scraaaaaw?!??!?” or roar and to “ka pow” every second punch? And if something breaks in half there is no need for an over motivated “CRACK” every f….ing time….

Where was the story and fights in this book

The MC had one fight in this book that was described as it was happening however one sided it was but then the other time its the MC goes in the dungeon then someone outside the dungeon is talking then the MC comes out fights over the story is the same someone new trying to recruit him, there are tiny scenes in the book that hint at a possible story in the next book but pretty much besides the short fight on the island its just borderline pointless chatter.
Lastly the mother scenes are extremely dry considering she been in a coma for 4 years.

too short, use free credit for this one.

it's like only his power grows and nothing else. this book hints that it has something to do with his power, affecting him, maybe. but it's only one mention.
this book isn't as exciting as the last couple. more plot development within the same story. not much story development.

it's not a bad one, but it's a lot of filler and development. and too short to give us something worth the wait cause now the worth the wait part is in another audio book.
so far I got 1 free book and 2 paid for. this one is definitely a wait till you get your free credit book. unfortunate that I pre ordered and didn't use free credit.

Solo Leveling series 1-4 so far

ONE PUNCH MAN. If you know of the show/animé Then that’s prolly the best way I can share my opinion on this book series. Ofcourse the story isn’t the exact same but it is so close in many ways that I wouldn’t be surprised if the author had a hand in OPM’s creation even if just selling the rights.
If you haven’t seen but like litrpg then this is definitely a good series to follow. In fact the differences for this to the show are just enough that even if you have no interest in the show I’d still recommend.
My main complaint is they are absurdly short and cut off the way an episode might.
So to whom ever takes this part into consideration be it audible, writer whomever. Total dick move. Definitely should have had at least two books per credit. I’ll pay the credit per and I’m sure your happy you got your money but it’s shit like this that makes me think I should be using a different service then audible. So whatever. I’ve poured allot of time and money with audible and haven’t really had much complains at all really. But come on. I think your just milking it now
Anyways yes I’ll still be getting the next one in series book #5 of SL and even wished it was out now but at least it will be in a few months.

A mixed bag

First off, I very much enjoy the story so far. He did a great job of creating characters that are different and varied, but with the one exception being the MC. He kinda comes off as a DB who does not have any emotional connection other then his mom and sis, but even that seems shallow. I keep hoping he will grow and care about someone other than himself, but that only happens so far if it doesn't inconvenience him. Which does not make him look cool, but instead makes him come off as a sociopath. Any ways like i said I like the story and hope it keep the intrigue and build up it has delivered.

As for the performance I may have been a bit harsh, but anything that jars me out of the story is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Please stop with the sound effects, and that is double if you are going to read the sound effect right after you make it. Other than that good job on the voices, I thoroughly enjoyed.

All and all I think this whole series is good but could become great with some minor course corrections.
