Summary

Unlike canned nature sounds created in a studio, renowned acoustic ecologist Gordon Hempton gives you the real deal. He travels the world recording remarkable locations that capture the essence of the place itself. His lifelong mission is to preserve nature through sound, and his soundscapes are produced with such care and quality that you feel as if he has truly brought a slice of the world into your home.

Left me confused

Before trying out an audiobook, I always like to read the reviews. With some good reviews and others bad ones I was left wondering if I should download it. In the end I decided that I would.
The bad reviews are in my opinion false reviews.
Very very good and am thankful that I went with the good reviews in my heart. Must download as it is very relaxing. It even makes my dog quite sleepy.
4 out of 5 stars because there should be more chapters and the chapters should be shorter in my opinion but if you put it on a timer, you can just catch up on any parts you missed.
Particularly enjoyed the rainforest and waterfall sounds

relaxing sounds take you to the destination.

tried a new routine of relaxation in the evening. these sounds are really good, close your eyes and you are at the destinations. the sounds have depth and realistic to nature. doesnt sound 'fake' or looped.

Sleep much

I personally love these for sleeping, the waterfall one is too high pitched for me, but any of the others are good.

Make me need to pee

These are rubbish. Just noise. Give me birdsong, not white noise. Annoying not relaxing. Would rather give no stars but can't. Absolutely pants.

Bland

To me these are no better than static. I’ve used some wonderful rainforest tracks in the passed so was keen to try this. To me it feels I’d be better off listening to white noise tracks.

soothing noises but too much wind

agree with the other reviews that several of them sound like white noise because the loudest part sounds like wind

sea sounds

Great true sound in each chapter loud enough to stop the silence but not so loud it keeps you awake.
The poor reviews are simply because people haven't read the description, if you want birdsong or animal noises this isn't for you

Volume too low

I love to fall asleep to sounds like these, but unfortunately these were all just so low; meaning I had to turn my phone volume up nearly full (& therefore everything else on my phone was way too loud).
A star for the sounds, as they would've been nice to listen to, and another star for the length, but unfortunately I overall find these unusable.

Works every time!

This tape is essential to my getting a good nights sleep and unbroken rest. The rain forest is my favourite, but all work well. P

Useless.

Doesn't work for me. Mostly just irritating. I'm glad it was free. Much better to listen to laid back music.
