Ruined by a simply dreadful narrator.

I've read Richard Burtons collection of stories and Pasolini's " Arabian Nights" is perhaps my favourite film of all time. I was looking forward to this audio collection but I found the narrators North American saccharine delivery so dreadful that I could not bear more than a few stories. I did my utmost to go beyond my dislike of her awful cloying whine /twang, but I but could not manage it. Having enjoyed a very high standard of delivery on all the other titles I have listened to from audiobooks...I just gave up on this one.
