About this listen

An Iranian defector shows his true colours and returns to his own country—taking a vital piece of intelligence equipment with him. The race is on to capture the turncoat and get the equipment back. Only one man is up for the job—American super-spy Richard Yokely.

In the past Yokely served in the Army, the CIA, DEA and the NSA. But now he works for Grey Fox, the super secret agency that takes care of business that the White House would prefer stays hidden. And with a possible World War Three approaching, Yokely is America's only hope. The chase is on.

Awful narrator

I love Leather’s writing but found the narration here too difficult to continue with. I stopped half way through.

Ok, but not Leathers usual standard

Ruined by poor narration, sounded like an western and SAS men don't speak with public school accents.

Superb Listen.

As would be expected from Mr Leather this is an exciting and fast paced Novella, shame it wasn't longer! The characters are well developed and likeable in the main, there's an SAS Lliason officer who is as much use as a chocolate teapot but the rest of Richard Yokely's support team are up to scratch. Edge of the seat action makes this a book that needs to be listened to in one sitting. Geoff Hardings narration is excellent throughout bringing the story to life but sorry Geoff, you are not Richard Yokely, I dislike it intensely when the narrator is changed part way through a series and as Yokely has featured heavily in the Spider Shepherd books as well as in Rogue Warrior which is book 1 in this series with a different narrator it was difficult to not critique the voice. Highly recommended listen! *****

Short & action packed

I enjoyed this story- nice to know more about Richard Yokely & why not have an American narrator. Fast paced & left me wanting more.

Bad Narration

The story was ok but spoilt by the narration, I don't really know how or why persevered with it to the end except that I like the character of Richard Yokely but the narrator obviously either had never listened to the first one narrated by Paul Thornley or any of the Spider Sheperd books that Richard appears in. Narrator also dies terrible accents but is mostly monotone and dreary.
A shame because I was looking forward to it.

Paul Thornley should have been the Narrator!!

Only thing I could dislike was Paul Thornley was not the Narrator. Richard Yokley didn't come across the same as per the Spider shepherd Audible books.

Shocking narrator

I have really enjoyed this series of books but the narrator ruined the story so much that I couldn’t really tell if it was good or not. I found it really hard work and missed parts of the story because I was subconsciously tuning out the narrator’s flat nasal voice.
