Summary

From the number-one best-selling author.

Whilst visiting a former SAS comrade in Italy, a distracted Ben nearly runs over a young boy - and unwittingly walks into his deadliest mission yet. Ben's involvement with the boy's family runs deeper as he witnesses their brutal murder at a gallery robbery. A seemingly worthless Goya sketch was the principal target in the bloodbath heist. Now it's up to Ben to find out the truth behind the elusive painting. Wrongly accused of murder and forced to go on the run, he must get to the heart of the conspiracy while he still has the chance....

Good story, shame about the performance.

Unnecessary and annoying pauses in the narration that should really have flowed seamlessly made listening less enjoyable than it should have been.

action thriller with an archaeological mystery

Yet again Scott Mariani manages to combine an fast-moving action thriller with an archaeological mystery. Ben Hope, a former SAS hero and theology scholar, is unwittingly drawn into yet another exciting adventure when he is unwittingly embroiled in a murderous robbery at an art gallery in which the only thing targeted was a worthless sketch that carried a hidden message.

The story offers international conspiracies, adrenalin inducing chases, plenty of action and a high body count. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes thrilling rollercoaster of a book.

Hope on the run!

The Lost Relic sees Ben Hope caught up in a conspiracy to find a Lost Relic, and a certain piece of art is the key. A Russian mobster is hellbent on getting his hands on it, and having been searching for it for most of his life, he knows he's very close. After executing innocent people in cold blood, the Russians find Ben Hope on their trail. Unfortunately for Hope, the authorities are convinced that he is to blame for the killings.
A very enjoyable Ben Hope adventure.
Well narrated by Colin Mace.

He's done it again.

Another brilliant storyline. Colin Mace's narrative was just as great as we have come to expect.

Not as good as his previous books

easy to follow story and carries on nicely from previous story BUT really disappointed with the actual story itself.
Hope in the next book the story is more exciting.
