History of Science
For each of the science topics chosen, the title provides information how our knowledge in that area has developed historically.
In other words it does not primarily summarize the wealth of knowledge we have now, but it tells you how the scientists found out about the key concepts. E.g. how did we find out that the universe is far bigger than the Milky Way? How did we find out that water is made of hydrogen and oxygen? How did we find out that viruses exist? How did we find out that light is quantized?
It is important to educate people about science. Then, they will understand the world better and will not believe nonsense and hoaxes hence slowing down the progress of humankind or threatening public health and democracy as it is often the case in the world today. They will not regard the microworld as non-existing.
The narrator is excellent, has a British accent, pronounces the foreign names (German and French) well. The chapters are properly labeled.
