Summary

All Thomas Weaver wanted was death. What he got was time travel.

Thomas Weaver, haunted by a teenage tragedy, lived a wasted life. He closed his eyes for what he believed was the last time in 2016, but opened them again in his teenage bedroom and body in 1976. Now a middle-aged man in his teenage body, he sets out to fix everything he did wrong in his first life. A budding serial killer in home room, a possible new romance, and high school algebra complicate his plans.

What would you do, if you could do it all again?

Includes a special bonus note read by the author.

A different take on time travel/do-over

I loved this book. The characterisation the unusual premise the what ifs- all are well thought out and superbly executed. I love the intriguing watchers, the way things play out with the budding serial killer, the students, the family and everything.
The narration was good although a little lacking in variation.
I will be getting the next in the series.

Enjoyable find!

I found this book while searching Goodreads for a book similar to A Gift Of Time which I really enjoyed. I noticed it hasn't had many reviews, nor its follow ups (and I'm on book 5 now!) so wanted to make sure I did my part to change that. This series is criminally underrated and the fact over 10 are available for free is amazing! thanks Shawn Inmon, I'm a human desperate to believe we get a second go to do things over and I've enjoyed this series enormously!

Wasn’t sure at first but completely hooked now

This book was recommended to me by a friend at work, he’s an unusual guy, kind of an old soul, so when he said it was a time travel book, I thought, why not! As soon as I started listening, I was hooked and was disappointed when my day of listening ended. I saw the guy that told me about it again the other day and explained how good it was.... he didn’t know it was the first of a series.... I’m on Book 4 now and don’t want them to end!!

Perhaps Not A New Concept but Very Well Done

I get through hundreds of books on Audible and this one caught my eye, I am glad that it did! I don't often give reviews but this story deserved a good mention because it takes an idea, perhaps we have all wondered 'what if I could do it all again' and explores the reality of this. The characters were very well portrayed, made you really want to know what happened next? This is a start of a whole series of books and I shall listen to those. Give it a go!

Really enjoyed.

Oh I really enjoyed this story. I think i was expecting more travel in time, but i loved it all the same. A great take from other time travel stories too.
The narrator was slightly different to my usual, so took me a little while to settle in, but i can totally understand why he is used and is perfect for his role as it really gets you into understanding how Thomas is feeliing going back in time.

Plenty more from this author to try.
