Best-selling author Marian Keyes delivers another outstanding audiobook with her latest novel The Woman Who Stole My Life, narrated by Aoife McMahon. Stella Sweeney is an ordinary woman, the average Dublin housewife, whose life changes beyond recognition and leads her down an incredible path of success. Upon her return to her old life, she realises just how much everything and nothing has changed. Now she must choose where to turn – stay in her old life or forge ahead into a new one. This stunning novel will sweep you up as you travel with Stella through the changes that life inevitably throws us all. Available now from Audible.

Summary

One day, sitting in traffic, Stella Sweeney attempts a good deed. The resulting car crash changes her life.

But in this event is born the seed of something which will take Stella thousands of miles from her old life, turning an ordinary woman into a superstar, wrenching her whole family apart. For the first time real, honest-to-goodness happiness is just within her reach.

But is Stella Sweeney, Dublin housewife, ready to grasp it?

Stole my time

Would you consider the audio edition of The Woman Who Stole My Life to be better than the print version?

Yes. Listening to her voice brought the story to life much more than reading it from a book or on Kindle.

What did you like best about this story?

It was well researched and very entertaining.

What about Aoife McMahon’s performance did you like?

Beautifully read. Loved her voice.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No but I did smile often and race back to it as soon as I could, to start listening again.

Any additional comments?

Mannix is a delight, Geoffrey is the voice of reason, Stella is a hoot and so down to earth. Ryan is bonkers.

Good but not for family listening!

Another good book for me to escape into although it caught me by surprise when the sex scenes popped up, there were only a few but I wouldn’t have wanted my children in ear shot 😁
It went quite smoothly back and fourth between past and present and back to the past without confusion, I enjoyed it as a little light entertainment while relaxing.

A great listen

I really enjoyed the story line of this book, it felt a bit different to others I have listened too, in a positive way! I also really enjoyed the narration, it was a nice easy listen whilst in work and in the car, would recommend and would try other books by this author 😊

An easy, entertaining story

Excellent narration. Amusing story - not one of Keyes' best (Rachel's Holiday remains my favourite so far) but very enjoyable.

Not a gripping story but written well. Narrator has a lovely voice. Very pleasant listening without need to concentrate hard.
