Fantastic!

I loved this fantastic novel. A great follow up to the last one. But is there more? If there is I hope it’s narrated by the talented Anne Dover. She really compliments your novels.

Another brilliant read

I chose this 5⭐️ rating because the story deserves it, the characters carry on with their lives in this 2nd book in the series, all are so endearing you feel a part of their families,
AnneMarie Brear does right some absolutely brilliant reads and love all her books.
Fully recommend this and other by her.

SO SAD

Very well written and narrated .Too sad to say I enjoyed it. I can highly recommend all of the other books I’ve read by Anne Marie Brear. The scenes were so well described. Anne Dover , as always, is BRILLIANT!

Brilliant

It’s the first book which I have listened to by AnneMarie Brear and I loved it. Anne Dover, as usual, read it so well and I was so surprised, when listening, that I knew exactly the area the story was written about so it made it very interesting for me!! The part of the story about the First World War was so sad. I certainly hope that AnneMarie Brear will write another book about the characters and it will be read again by Anne Dover.

Sadly not as good

I was disappointed in this book. Far to much repetition of where she meets Louis each and every time.
What I really can’t understand is why this part of the story is paid so much attention to. Louis is a bully and is incredibly wrong towards women. Why Beth ever continued to give him the time of day, I’ll never know. Yes, Louis seems to have changed but too much time was given over to Louis and Beth forgetting how she was treated by him.

The description on the war and what happened is excellent though.
