About this listen
One of Tom Clancy's most storied characters, Dominic Caruso, is the only one who can stop America's secrets from falling into enemy hands in this blockbuster new novel written by Clancy's longtime coauthor.
Over the course of three decades, Tom Clancy created a world alive with prescient action and remarkable individuals. In Tom Clancy Support and Defend, Dominic Caruso is presented with the deadliest challenge of his career.
Dominic Caruso. Nephew of President Jack Ryan. FBI agent and operator for The Campus, a top secret intelligence agency that works off the books for the U.S. government. Already scarred by the death of his brother, Caruso is devastated when he can't save a friend and his family from a terrorist attack.
Ethan Ross was a mid-level staffer for the National Security Council. Now he's a wanted fugitive on the run with a microdrive that contains enough information to wreck American intelligence efforts around the world. The CIA is desperate to get the drive back, but so are the Russians and various terrorist groups all of whom are closer to catching the fugitive. Only Caruso stands in their way, but can he succeed without the aid of his Campus colleagues?

"[Clancy] has an uncanny feel for the intersection of real-world intelligence, terrorism, and fiction." (The Daily Beast)

great tom clancy book
Would you listen to Tom Clancy Support and Defend again? Why?
I was very dubious about listening to a "post mortem" written book , but I very pleasantly surprised by this book . In fact this surpasses a lot of earlier books.

Not as good as older Tom Clancy.
can tell that this wasnt a purely Tom Clancy novel.
not as good as the ones he wrote himself, rather than these "ghostwritten" ones

More of the same..... but still First Class!
Carrying in from the Tom Clancy originals readers won't be disappointed with the continuation of the intel based thriller writings
This still reads like its from
The inside and I can only hope that Greaney is using the same or similar sources and methods to keep the narrative at the highly detailed levels we who have followed Mr Clancy's Jack Ryan, John Clark, Domingo Chavez, Ed & Mary-Pat et al for 20 years.. Although this was exclusively following Dom
Caruso and seems to be weaving a new web, or at least an off shoot of a web, it's the same attention to detail and pace - well done for keeping the faith Mr Greaney

Still brilliant.....
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, despite Tom moving on this still was a great story
Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favourite?
Narrator was good, not quite as good as Lou Diamond but pretty close.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The book kept me into it from start to finish.
Any additional comments?
I thought i would give this a go but without Tom around anymore i was not expecting much but I was in the story from start to finish. The book was based on just 1 campus member so did miss the others especially J Ryan jnr but Sherman was with Dom all the way through which helped. But overall this book was great and kept me as into it as if Tom had written it himself, looking forward to more campus adventures now :) Hope Mark is able to continue to keep Tom's legacy going on :)
