Thank goodness Steven Pacey is back!!
I didn’t buy the last 2 books in the series as the narrator was changed from Steven Pacey and just from the samples I decided not to waste my money and disappoint myself. I am so pleased they have finally seen sense - this was a fantastic series and I thoroughly enjoyed all the department q books up until that point. I’m only part way through this one and so far it seems just good as the first ones with Steven Pacey - he really does bring these books to life. I do feel I have missed a large chunk from not buying the last 2 but I’ll have to deal with that (unless of course if they re-do them.......)

Excellent!
Was so delighted to find the next Dept Q instalment, and it did not disappoint.
Thrilling story and maintenance and development of all the key characters added to the interest and involvement.
And of course Steven Pacey’s narration and interpretation is superb! I love his voice with its flexibility and depth of portrayal. Thanks!

Really excellent installment
Not sure if there will be any more books in the series after this one, I hope so.
As in the last book we found out about Rose's life, this book is all about Assad's life. It is gripping, horrifying, and just so incredibly sad, because other than the dramatic license the author has used in creating a saga, so much of it rings of truth. The horrors of war and the conflict in the middle east, terrorists and their fanaticism.
Overall well written, and the performance was as always very good. I even find the British accents used in places of Scandi accents fun.

slow start but gathered pace halfway...
slow start but turned into a real page turner ... enjoyed it immensely... so glad we have the original narrator back...the other two were a real turnoff...

Enjoyed and recommended!
Very good book and interesting, tense story.
Department Q novels are really up there in quality. Love the characters, style, interesting plots and character development as the story progresses.
Good job Olsen
Perfectly performed by Steven Pacey, as all of his performances that i have heard so far.
Enjoyed it and would recommend this to anyone, as I am sure that even people that are against audio books would enjoy anything read by Steven Pacey.

Brilliant
Really exciting storyline with wonderful narration. I have listened to all of Department Q books and enjoyed the majority. This one was exciting as the 1st.

A strong read
This title kept me on the edge of my seat for the most part. A well thought out storyline with a clever use of humour. Jussi has the ability to bring his diverse mix of characters to absolute life.

wow!
This is a roller coaster of a ride. very hard to listen to in places as it is so dark but an incredible story following the mania that is religious fundamentalism. Performed beutifully-one of the best department Q books to date
