Very lovely stories, full of meaning. Like a hug in book form, even though dealing with a difficult issue.
Perfectly read by June Barrie, the true voice of Miss Read.

Great Christmas story and brilliantly narrated
Wonderful tale for Christmas. Beautifully written with really evocative characters. You can almost see them. June Barrie is the perfect narrator. Two village spinisters run up against a rather slapdash young mother. Rather heartwarming story.
