Summary

Where were you the night Lina Stavred went missing?

The case was closed.

Lina Stavred went missing 20 years ago. A local boy confessed to her murder - but the body was never found.

The records were sealed.

Since then, the people of Ådalen have avoided talking about that painful summer, preferring to leave the past untouched. But we know you remember.

Now Lina's murderer has reappeared. This is detective Eira Sjödin's chance to untangle years of well-kept secrets - but the truth is something Ådalen would rather forget.

A great story

I enjoyed this story immensely, although the slightly robotic-sounding narrator almost put me off at the beginning. I’m glad I pushed on though, as the storyline was sound with convincing characters and some interesting twists and turns as the story progressed.
For fans of Nordic noir, I would definitely recommend persevering through the monotonous narration, as overall the book is well worth the read.

Nothing happens and really annoying narration.

The narrator is annoying and the story line is pathetic. Boy kills girl maybe and supposedly sexy odd Swedish female cop solves the mystery. Really, there are a million better books with this plot line
