Very inciteful read, I learned a lot.
Very interesting and educational but written with enough lightness to want to keep listening.
Each "persons" story was totally different and enlightening to the trials of a psychologist and her patients.
It challenged my perceptions of mental behaviour. So glad that I chose it.

Excellent!
I absolutely loved this! The content and narrator is brilliant, I sound a bit gushing, but I really do think Kerry Daines is wonderful.
She's such a straightforward down to earth brilliant human.

Good but narrator isn’t great at accents
It’s really distracting when narrators feel compelled to do all the accents in audiobooks. It never works well. This narrator’s n’orn ir’n is closer to a comedy Jamaican or Indian than Irish. Overall the book is good but a bit simplistic for my tastes.

A good look into the authors mind
I don't know what I was expecting when I chose this book but I really enjoyed it. It challenges your perception and knee jerk reactions on the 'case studies' of the people/clients used in this book. Loved the inclusion of the Book Club questions at the end. Even though I am not in one it makes you think about your reactions and thoughts. You may learn something about yourself and hopefully if required try to make a change for the better.

Absolutely excellent
I was totally hooked, loved it. what an incredible career/story and an extremely important job you do in helping people. You've unlocked the key to allow healing, how sad that hundreds of people won't have this to help them move forward to live a better life. You are truly gifted.
It definitely has changed my mindset and will be more open and less judgemental.

Fascinating
Absolutely fascinating. Ended up binge listening it was so good. Love the ‘accent’ changes and animation it was given. Great insight into why some people do what they do

an excellent book!
This is not another book which just recounts some anecdotes from author's professional career. It offers a comment into how we all, as a society, think of criminal offenders struggling with their mental health. I found those insights refreshing and worthy of pondering further. It's an engaging book that was hard to stop listening to.

An eye opening compassionate read
I found the stories within this book and the ways in which the courts, media and the general public perceive mental health (and crime) very enlightening.
I have worked in mental health in the past and totally agree that the individual’s stories are often not listened to.
I related to Kerry’s narrative combined with relevant research and practical approach without losing the reality of the situation.
The epilogue is a great summing up of the narrative with a realistic ways to move forward.
The narration was beautifully and sensitively done.
Highly recommended.

Interesting easy listen
