  • On this episode of The Ryan Brown Show I had the opportunity to interview Congressman Brian Mast. Congressman Mast is the U.S. Representative for the 21st Congressional District of Florida. He is a decorated U.S. Army Veteran having served for 12+ years, earning: The Bronze Star Medal, The Army Commendation Medal for Valor, The Purple Heart Medal, and The Defense Meritorious Service Medal.

    While deployed in Afghanistan, he worked as a bomb disposal expert under the elite Joint Special Operations Command. The last improvised explosive device that he found resulted in catastrophic injuries, which included the loss of both of his legs.

    Above all else he is an amazing husband to his wife, a loving father to his beautiful children, and a friend.

    Congressman Mast and I discussed his transition into public service, the power of VA loans, housing in South Florida, and some major local issues we are facing in our local area.
