Very good series for conversation
An unusual but effective take on learning Ukrainian. Being thrown into conversations and listening to native speakers converse is quite daunting, but it works. These bitesize lessons are just long enough to repeat a few times and fit into a busy schedule. Such a beautiful language to listen to, I adore it! With different characters, unusual alphabet (by western standards), unusual sounds, and words that feel like tongue twisters, and different sentence structure, it's not the easiest language for a westerner. That said, this series gives you phrases that can be useful - it fills a niche that other methods don't and I think it'll be useful as an adjunct to the others. I only see two areas where it can be improved, one of which is doable within the app. Firstly, it sounds quite fast and it's hard to repeat - but turning the speed down in the app really helps with this, and learning how words and sounds are formed. Unfortunately my skill is still at beginners level, so using this slowing technique means at first it might sound to Ukrainians that I've been kicked in the head by a donkey. Secondly, a full rundown of the vocab would have been useful at the start or end, ні no, да yes, etc. This would make it envelope another area of learning - basic vocab, pronouns, examples of verbs, etc. Good introduction, from the deep end - much as you would learn if suddenly being there and a very good friend was explaining the conversation thoroughly and breaking it down.
