  • Episode 29: Beaten by greatness as Grand Final defeat will motivate Storm to go one better in 2025
    Oct 15 2024
Sometimes you just have to sit back and admire greatness. What a club, what a team, what an organisation Penrith Panthers is. Deserving Premiers. There is no shame in being beaten by this juggernaut of a sporting franchise. Whilst the disappointment of losing a Grand Final hurts and will undoubtedly be stinging for some time, it will serve as additional motivation for a Storm playing group heading into the pre-season, driving them to go one better in 2025. Stormy Daniel reviews the Grand Final defeat to the now 'four-time' Premiers, many who have made comparisons to this inexperienced Melbourne Storm team being exactly where the Panthers were five seasons ago when the pair played one another in the 2020 Grand Final team. The Panthers that night were beaten by experience and guile of a Storm team that knew how to play and perform in big matches. The Panthers took their learnings and did a Melbourne on Melbourne, showing the inexperienced Storm side, what it takes to win a Premiership. Storm may have created the beast that is the Panthers team five years ago, but Penrith could have effectively now done exactly the same thing to a Melbourne Storm team who will be much wiser in 2025. Stormy Daniel coves off on what's making news and answers your listener questions.
