About this listen

The scorching hot love story that is this generation's Pretty Woman. You can't put a price on love - so they say....

When a medical condition threatens to tear apart Lanie Talbot's family, she makes the ultimate sacrifice. With no time and no other option, Lanie puts herself up for sale at an underground, high-end establishment where women are auctioned off to influential, wealthy men with more money than sense.

Enter Noah Crawford: millionaire business mogul and Chicago's most eligible bachelor. But Noah's distrust in relationships has led him to make a very desperate decision of his own - purchasing a woman to satisfy his every desire. No strings attached, no heartbreak, and no way anyone will ever know. Just two million dollars to have his wicked way with Lanie Talbot for two years....

Laini and Noah's relationship is explosive. When they fight, they take no prisoners. When they love, they show no mercy. When they combine the two, they never want to leave each other's arms. But did they both get more than they bargained for? A Million Dirty Secrets is the first part of a scorching hot romantic duet that promises to be this generation's Pretty Woman.

Done in one sitting

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend even though at first you feel the main female will be whiney and irritating it is actually satisfying to hear her grow in to herself throughout the book with the promise of her maturing further, while Noah starts well but seems stilted, the narrator does a fantastic job with him but I hope the author brings him to full potential in the sequel.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Definitely when Lexie is introduced, highly amusing.

Any additional comments?

Highly frustrating that I have to wait for the next instalment!

Awfully predictable.

Would you try another book written by C. L. Parker or narrated by Rubyyy Jones and Rockwell Davis ?

No, I doubt I will ever read another book by C.L Parker.

Has A Million Dirty Secrets put you off other books in this genre?

Possibly.

What didn’t you like about Rubyyy Jones and Rockwell Davis ’s performance?

Rockwell Davies was excellent but Rubyyy Jones was awful. She sounded like a spoilt, jaded and bitchy teenager. Not at all fitting the character.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Rockwell Davies was a pleasure to listen to.

Any additional comments?

Very predictable in the story (fairytale) and totally unreal.
