About this listen
The first prophecy:
Seed of death and dragon's womb, suffering her fated tomb.
She, our savior, the fallen's soul, shall shed her blood to make us whole.
A vengeful darkness she will arise, her love calls forth the darkest tide.
Yet, if her heart has ceased to beat, the world shall eclipse in dark complete.
Pretend Ma told me the terrible things done to me were for the greater good. That I would be a hero and fight for those who can't fight for themselves.
I'm not so sure about that.
I am sure that my time in this world is drawing to a close. I'm okay with that. I even wish for it some days. Then, I meet him. Mr. Glowy Eyes.
I'm also sure I'm a monster, and I'm certain that he's so much worse than that. But he also shows me something important. Very important. Do you want to know what it is?
Are you still waiting? I can't tell you, silly rabbit. Who gives something like that away?
Mr. Glowy Eyes is waiting, too. In the dark....
Under the bed....
I can't promise he won't eat you...but I can promise you won't mind when he does.
Contains mature themes.

Not sure
Really struggled with the first part of the story, only started to enjoy it once they escaped their prison and entered the human realm. Love the charity and narration is good.

struggling to finish
Halfway through this, and I'm really struggling to finish it. Not terrible per se, just a bit repetitive so far and I'm not really seeing the plot move on. Will update if I do complete it. Narration is great-Justine is always a favourite of mine as she has such a good range, and Aiden never disappoints either.

Very enjoyable
very surprising listen I didn't expect to like the story as much as I did. I'm still not sure if the hero/sorta anti hero is called vouge or rogue but he is really like able and starts off as as slave to the sloth/sloch I could make that out either, these are other realm light magic anti fairy or fairy's little unsure they torture the dark magics out hero who is literally darkness and the heroine Izza who is his counter part but part human part fairy or so she believes at the beginning that all changes towards the end of the book, iZza is a spitball personality who grows into herself as the story goes on. Both characters have been abused and tortured by the sloths in a prison but it never goes to deep into detail which is a relief, and it's not overly gratuitous on sex, again is better than alot of overuse in some books. There is a bit of a plot twist in the middle and by the latter half of the book we see izza coming into her own with some bad ass moments some funny moments and some sweet moments. I would of maybe liked a prequel on this story with Izza's mom and dad's story to explain the realms and worlds were shown a little of in this book as I don't fully understand everything. overall though the author did a great job and I'm definitely going to be listening to her books again. The dual narrators were amazing really good. and the front cover for the audible is so beautiful. definitely a 4.9 star from me on to the next book.
