About this listen
He didn’t steal the diamonds, but she definitely stole his heart.
A diamond heist, a romantic encounter, and the possibility of spending the next 20 years in prison. That's one hell of a week.
Patrick Sutton’s life is in turmoil, and he just wants it to go back to normal. But normal doesn’t include Austin Yates, the feisty criminal attorney who wants to represent him at his upcoming trial. She’s not just his attorney, though, she’s also his submissive for the next eight weeks, and to say that complicates things would be an understatement.
Austin thought her life was on the right track. Right up until she got passed over for a promotion...again. Feeling impulsive, she took a friend up on their offer of eight weeks of fun as a house submissive at Club Solitaire. It was supposed to be no-strings fun. She didn’t expect to grow so attached to Patrick, the brooding dominant business investor she’s playing this game with.
When the police show up to arrest Patrick for a diamond heist, all thoughts of submissive adventure go out the window. She’s in attorney mode now, ready to defend her client. Patrick isn’t so easily distracted from their dynamic. Eight weeks, that’s what she agreed to, and he wants her to hold up her end of the bargain. He knows he’s innocent, now they just have to find out who’s setting him up. Can Austin keep him out of prison, or will this trial tear them apart forever?
Heist is a gripping adventure filled with intrigue, sizzling romance, and a story that will keep you up all night. Grab your copy today!

I need to find a hairbrush!!!!
Oh dear!! I can see a problem arising with each book in this series! I'm gonna have a new favourite character with each new book, I can see it happening and I'm only 2 (3) books in!!! I loved David and Emily, I loved Elijah and Holly, but now I love Patrick and Austin more!!! I want to be Patrick's mum and I want to be Austin's Office Manager!! They both need so much looking after, they are both so vulnerable in their own ways and neither of them see it.
But I digress... I'm not about giving plots away or details about characters. I'm about the quality of the writing, and the reading. And quality it is, again! As you can tell, Ivy Nelson has drawn me into the world of Club Solitaire and her characters, hook, line and sinker; there is no way out for me until the final full stop of the final book! Ivy Nelson just has this ability to make the characters feel like you are friends with them, or you should be, or you should be in the club with them, or out to dinner with them, even if you aren't a billionaire BDSM lover. She makes you want to be part of (some of) their world.
But let's not forget the narration by MJ Webb who truly is a Mistress of her craft. Sexy, dominant, scared, tired, assertive, confident, emotional; it's all in her range and she pulls everything out for both the women and the men of the piece. Having MJ Webb read the book to you is like reading it to yourself only better, because you don't have to read the words or think about anything apart from enjoying the experience.
If you've read the previous books, which you should have, you'll know the premise of this book and know that the hot and the gorgeous are involved in hot and gorgeousness in their private members club somewhere in Colorado. This time though there are more manmade diamonds involved and more time in New York and courts. The D/s dynamic being explored by the couple is giving a highlight to how this can happen outside a the club environment.
As with all of Ivy Nelson's books she writes with great pace and flow for the length of book. She seems to have a knack for eliminating the awkward silence, if that makes sense, or the stifling/trifling paragraphs where characters are just babbling to fill in the pages of the book and make up the word count. Every word counts on these pages.
I loved this audiobook, as I have with the previous audiobook in the series, and can't wait to listen the next ones. I just know that I'm going to love having them narrated to me by MJ Webb.
I'm totally recommending them to you for your Kindle, or listening device today xx
