About this listen
What would you do if you woke up married to a famous rockstar? The first in the thrilling Stage Dive series, Lick is a passionate rock'n'roll romance from Kylie Scott.
Evelyn Thomas's wish for an incredible twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas is truly granted when she wakes up next to a very attractive, half-naked, tattooed man – rockstar David Ferris – with no clue how it all happened.
With a massive diamond ring on her finger as the only evidence of her actions, she is left to face the music – and try to get an annulment. But with the invasive presence of the press, Evelyn and Davis are forced to spend time together. Will she get the annulment? Or will she find herself falling for his charm?
One thing is for certain, being married to rock and roll's favourite son is sure to be a wild ride . . .
The rock'n'roll steam continues in book two, Play.

Wow
Any additional comments?
Absolutely loved this book, fantastic story. David and Evelyn met in Vegas one drunken night and got married! When she wakes up the next morning, Evelyn has no recollection of the previous evening. It turns out that David is lead guitarist in one of the biggest bands around, not that Evelyn recognises him or follows his band. When it is apparent that the situation is not going to just go away, they try to make the best of a bad situation. Evelyn spends the next few months learning what it's liked to be married to a rock star - not easy. Lawyers, fans and a bitch of an ex girlfriend, all make for an interesting story full of love, lust, passion and heartbreak.

Surprising
What did you like most about Lick?
I loved the general feel of the book. It was charming and romantic . All the characters were likeable and distinctive.
What other book might you compare Lick to, and why?
The marked men series has a similar feel.
What about Andi Arndt’s performance did you like?
The characterisations were good and I got caught up in the story. If I do not like a narration I cannot listen to the story however this was very well performed
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were several but would not want to spoil the story. I liked the developing love story between the main characters.
Any additional comments?
Highly recommend

This Gripped Me
Oh this book has to make my all time favourite list! I've just finished it and my heart is still clenched & swooning!
The story stayed with me in a way few have. In the days I didn't get chance to listen I thought of it often, really wishing I got chance to listen but also wanting to make it drag out as I never wanted it to end.
I loved all the characters, well perhaps not Martha!
I very rarely write reviews so take it from me doing this it's a fairly big deal! Can't wait to start the next cos my heart is already missing those guys.

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS??
This is my first piece of work I've read (well listened to) by Kylie Scott & I enjoyed LICK even though it did remind me of ROCK YOUR DANGEROUS ROCK from DANGEROUS NOISE 1of the pieces that Crystal Kaswell has written, but there is more action in this one.
I could've smacked David Ferris the lead Guitarist of the band 'STAGE DIVE' (who went to Give his head some clarity) with some of the episodes he dealt or at spoke/acted to.
But this is where I did feel for him where his bride Evelyn Thomas who couldn't remember ANYTHING that had happened on this night, that she went to Vegas for her 21st with her Best friend.
There's such action between these 2 & Dave's band mates. And there's a fair bit of emotional turmoil between them with both of them being the one who set the way to or way out.
And there's a little bit or more than a little just not overly too much of VERY HOT matrimonal BLISS.
Andi Arndt was an alright author, though there's a few areas I thought we needed more emotion & it would've been better if it was a dual dialog & she was able to sing in the areas where Dave was singing

Fun chic lit
Feeling in need of some light relief, I threw these into my 3 for 2 "beach listens" basket. My expectations were not high.
Have to admit to loving it. A little x-rated in places, but enough humour and light stuff to keep me entertained. If the Fifty-Shades books' sex:story ratio was 90:10, then this is 10:90.....and the characters in the story are much more fun and likeable.
Of course, the story is completely implausible, and the writing is not going to win any literary prizes, but it's just fun - and a perfect beach listen or "chic lit". Have already downloaded book 2 in the series ...........for my beach listening, of course.
