superb

j r ward smashes! thrilling story, characters so alive that after you finish the book you feel you're friends with. Or, you wish you would be part of that oddly enchanting brotherhood. That world.
Jim Frangione is the best narrator by far, smooth, voice that you're never tired of, with the right pauses and peaks and slows.
Really loved it! Can't wait for the next one

Must Love 🫶 The Black Dagger Brotherhood!

As always J. R Ward captured our minds with The Black Dagger Brotherhood and all their yammy shenanigans. We’ve become lovers of her writing and this special world she created is now legend.

Here we have Dr Manny Manalo & the Chosen Payne get their happy ending. And I loved this chanced encounter. Perfectly told.
My observation from following the series; Human men versus the Vampire males is so vast, characteristics— for instance, I’m starting to think they (human men) are not half as damage as the vampire males are. One can clearly see how intune they’re with a woman’s right to choose their own destiny, how romantic, how chivalric and so sweet they’re, despite being badass at the same time. There’s no need to front, stunt or be Alfa’holes (lol) just because they can and they can be surely, they have better emotional balances come to think of it. They seem to love easier, faster, more empathetic & very free with their inner emotions. And there is this healthy acceptance of their fated love & feeling’s that they don’t seem to fight too much when they fall for their vampire females. It’s darn refreshing, as with the other ratio where the Vampire Males are concern, their behaviour, it can get crazy toxic, which can sometimes distort that surface attractiveness and sexiness of theirs.

We saw how effortless love seem to be coming from the human men as with (Butch & Marisa), (John Mathew & Xhex) as well here with (Dr Manny & Payne). These men are not as chauvinistic… He-Man, Neanderthal Primates, plus Captain-save-a-Hooo… let me save the day or emotionally repressed —yaddda yaddda yadddaa 🤣
Anyhoo- I loved this story. And the stories within the story. There is no book in this series, I have not enjoyed.

Of course we all have our favourite and mine happen to be non other than Ex (Caldie) Club owner, Drug-dealer and Armani-suit-wearing-gangsta, Rhevenge. If I should ever have a dream male, in the BDB world, it would be so him. Bigggg sighhhh - he’s such a male of worth, while being so bad at the same time. Besides I have a thing for a brother wearing suit & tie being all poised on the outside & deadly on the in side… he so my idea of a fictional boyfriend (grinning) 🤭yammmmmm
Loved it.🥰 🫶
